Correct, and 6 people were removed from the ship. 2 that tested positive plus the other member if each party along with 2 additional close contacts that did not test positive.
Isn't that fairly normal though? If you test positive then your "bubbble" has to self isolate?

I'm still not understanding the logic of vaccinated cruisers. A person that is vaccinated can contract the covid virus. RCL can require vaccines until they are blue in the face, but once they pull into a port and let people off, covid can (and most likely will) be brought onto the ship.
Vaxed or Non-Vaxed, testing should be a major part of any cruise from any port going on any itenerary. At least for the time being.
Not *quite* cruising but all of the test events in the UK are like this. Vaccination status is irrelevant for the most part, but testing is key. A combo of PCR and Lateral Flow tests. Makes sense to me!

And you have a much much higher chance of taking a test and getting a false positive than you do getting covid while vaccinated.
Do you have a source for that? Its the first I've seen that

Although this particular response from RCG is to the CDC and therefore US embarkation specific, I can not imagine that rules on embarkation ports world wide would be very much (if at all) different.
Thanks. Its mainly the testing aspect for me. I'm UK based and the only testing I'm aware of thats available is through the government and thats restricted to certain eligibility so I wouldn't even know how to go abut getting one!

Are these recommendations/restrictions likely to be just for US sailings?

Is this likely to impact any ships not listed in the first post? We're booked on Harmony in Jul from Barcelona which is (hopefully) going to be our honeymoon 😞 Its already changed from the original plan of this year (2020) and Oasis so would be incredibly disappointing if we were impacted again 😞

Hi All!
We are (hopefully) doing a Med Cruise on Allure next summer (June 2022 which will hopefully be our wedding annniversary!).
We've done Caribbean cruises before - Anthem & Freedom but we've not done The Med or Allure...
Which leads me to the point of this thread! What are your must do recommendations for The Allure? We're in a Junior Suite 😄
