Yes to both. We recently sailed Navigator and were fully vaxed, we requested a table on the balcony railing of deck 4 which was the deck for unvaxed. Request granted, had a great four top for the two of us along the balcony railing. We have a Ovation sailing coming up and will request the Grande as our MDR seating.
Thanks! Did you make the request pre-cruise or once onboard?

Does anyone know if you can make specific seating requests such as window seats or being able to choose dining room for quantum class traditional dining? Thanks!

Wow rcl seem to have made it super hard and their "up to date" vaccine is different to the entry requirments for italy from the uk.
From the uk gov website
"a primary vaccination certificate (valid for 270 days from the date of the last dose for those who have had a full course of vaccines (both doses of a two-dose vaccine or one dose of a one-dose vaccine) or valid indefinitely for those who have had a full course plus a booster dose)"
Where as rcl have the vaccine and or booster within 270 days.....now most uk people had the booster before xmas so will not be up to date by rcl standards.....
But i dont travel till summer so will see and expect changes
I believe this is probably incorrect and the booster is indefinite. Most likely just poor wording from Royal, but best to clarify with them, although that’s easier said than done 😂.

I wonder if anyone could advise on this please?
I haven’t received a ‘balance due’ email from royal, but my account now shows that I owe £56.88, even though final payment has passed and I have paid in full. To my surprise, they refunded me £56.88 today. I am worried that this is an IT error and my cruise will be automatically cancelled.

I don't see that he said that? He mentioned going to the UK first but nothing about a home port. Where did you see this?
Around the 40 minute mark on the full interview. See screenshot from @fsjosh 😀

Just to note that in an interview today, Michael Bayley confirmed that Icon’s homeport would be Miami.

In Michael’s interview, he also announced that Miami would be Icon’s homeport. Looks like it may just be a TA from Southampton, possibly with trade/media events in UK and New York.

I contacted Royal about the Best Price Guarantee and they adjusted the rate within 10 minutes, with no trouble… which I was quite surprised by! I saved £800 on our June cruise, which has just made us that little bit more excited!
Thanks everyone!

Hi. I had price drops on both cruises that I have booked on Voyager next month. One was booked with RC and the other with a Travel Agent. I saved around £1200 so was delighted. It’s a first for me as we never usually get the reductions in the U.K.
good Luck and enjoy Anthem.
Thanks so much! Have a great cruise 😀.

We’ve got an Anthem of the Seas cruise booked for June this year, but just noticed our price has dropped with the current sale. We have not yet paid in full, so should be entitled to a rate adjustment. Has anyone had any experience getting an adjustment? I’m based in the UK, but any advice would be appreciated. 😀

That’s a shame. I was hoping that wearing them would become a matter of personal choice in all settings - as it is here.Me too! Although, this is still an improvement! Hopefully, personal choice ship-wide by summer 🤞🏻.

Mask Policy Change
P&O have updated their website with a new mask policy, effective for departures from 27th March.
“Whilst we highly recommend that guests wear masks on board, they are only required in the theatre, cinema, or if you visit the medical centre. “
“Off the ship, masks are required during embarkation, disembarkation and when using tender boats*. Some destinations may also require you to wear masks when ashore and we recommend taking one with you whenever you disembark the ship.”- 3

According to Ready for Cruise, Oasis 6 will be the first in the Oasis class to be powered by LNG (Liquified Natural Gas) and will launch in 2024, with the steel cutting ceremony taking place April 6th 2022. I wonder if we will hear a name reveal on the same date?

Enchanted redeployed to Southampton.
Princess Cruises has just announced that Enchanted Princess will be based out of Southampton from 4th May. She will sail round trip cruises, ranging from 4 to 14 to days, visiting Canary Islands, Mediterranean and Scandinavia. Cruises go on sale March 23rd.
Just to note, it looks as though the September TA is still running as planned, but starts in Southampton, rather than Copenhagen. Not sure about April?

Yea but I am pretty sure the Orkney call is an old call from the former planned TA. She is also booked on 19 May 2022 since 1 year in Le Havre but then they modified the TA and the Le Havre call to 07th May 2022. So let's wait and see where we will find Getaway after the 14th June..
We shall see, but its one to keep an eye on! 👀
-
This may not be related, but Getaway has been added to Orkney (Scotland) port schedule for 12th May. It is supposed to be a day at sea according to NCL. Also, the port schedule lists that it has travelled from Portland and will continue to Southampton, which are both not listed on that itinerary. Even though May/June cruises aren’t cancelled, it looks like there may still be a bit of switching round.
-
Enchanted is booked into Southampton throughout the Summer, starting May 4th. There are also other calls booked in Spain and Portugal, like Funchal Madeira in August. I believe she will be redeployed to Southampton and offer Mediterranean, Canary Island and France & Spain cruises.
-
Enchanted also booked into Funchal in August, so probably will offer some Canary Island cruises from Southampton, as part of her new deployment.
-
I imagine that original Quantum Class ships, which have both La Patisserie and Cafe Promenade, will lose La Patisserie to a full Starbucks location. Unfortunately, looks like less places to use refreshment package, as i think it would be unlikely that they add a specialty coffee option to Cafe Promenade, with the addition of Starbucks 🥲. This would be similar to the new layout on Odyssey.

Any speculation on when Icon sailings should start showing up? For that matter, any idea where it'll be going? We are looking at a Late Fall 23/Winter 24 group cruise, and a new ship sounds fun. I know there a lot of uncertainty with it still being under construction, but I didn't know how close to a new ship's inaugural cruise they'd typically start bookings.
This may just be me being hopeful, but it seems odd that there is a deployment released every week between now and April 18th, except for w/c 21st March. I wonder if we may see some Icon news that week? 🤔

We used Medicspot for our Anthem cruise in June. They were great and had certificates back in 10 mins, so would definitely recommend. Each observed test was £21.99, but you can use code ‘BA’ to get a bit of a discount.
