I'm wondering IF everyone in the van was masked with N95's?
Theres No way I would stay with that group, if I was Negative.
And 90 mins inside a Hot van is horrible. Sounds like asking for trouble.
Makes me rethink upcoming cruises.
Same here .
I am rethinking when I will cruise next after hearing these first hand experiences now.

Enchanted was on my site yesterday, not there at all today
. More to come re: Baltics

I'm on the April 9 Enchanted transatlantic that ends May 4 in Copenhagen. Obviously we have received our changed itinerary omitting St. Petersburg so that's not the problem. Earlier this AM several people posted here that Enchanted is showing up on the port schedule in Southampton on May 4 and now all Enchanted summer sailings after ours have been pulled from the Princess website. The next one showing is in September out of New York for the New England cruises.
Do any of you know about this, possibly those on the sailing after ours? I'm sure Princess is scrambling , but knowing our debarkation port would be pretty important right now.
I saw something about this on fb Princess UK Enchanted sailings yesterday. Said on UK Princess website Southampton is a port May 4 th onwards .

How long would it take Princess to apply the refund (deposit) back to my credit card?
I made my booking through the big travel agency in Canada.
Thanks!
It varies
I had mine back in a few days close to end of month and other times a couple of weeks

Considered that but the situation is specific to the Princess Vacation Protection plan, so it is cruise line specific. Thanks
See your point and what my TA told me, made me buy additional insurance since I purchased my flights independently.
I bought PVP for mainly cancel for any reason- 1

Husband was disembarked in South America due to medical condition. We had to pay out of pocket for everything...flights, meals, transportation, hospital etc. We were told to keep all receipts and we would be reimbursed....we were reimbursed for everything, but it took almost 3 months...the total was just shy of 12k!
Thanks for sharing. Helpful, as this is first- hand experience recently

My TA told me my PVP only covers flights booked through princess.

I would use the Cruise with Confidence to cancel. Once refunded FCC & money to credit card book something you want
you are really getting the run around

I thought I would go ahead and get this started. A lot of people seem to be very interested in the ports; especially Morocco. As of right now...there is a lot of speculation that Morocco will not be open to us. Ironic since the name of the cruise is "16-Day Moroccan Passage".
Sorry your flight was cancelled

Presently, Princess is testing for International passengers to return home to their country. Princess is testing off the ship in the USA.
Princess has not released what they are doing for Covid testing for other countries yet since no European cruises have started.
Today, Canada requires a rapid test be done 24 hrs before a flight to Canada.
My sister has an Air Canada 2:05pm flight to Montreal and I have a BA 5:05pm flight to Toronto on disembarkment day Saturday June 11. Both of us have Princess transfers. We booked EzAir flights, they say flights after 2pm.I am going to go to Guest Services if I do not receive anything in my cabin concerning my return Covid testing. Princess should do the test the day before disembarkment.
The after 2 pm flights is standard for the several times I went out of LHR. Before Covid testing was required. Princess should look after you and give you test night before, as you say. It should be fine

Thanks for your prompt reply! I think we must wait for our test results at the terminal. Our other option is to go directly to LHR after disembarking and getting a Rapid Antigen test at terminal 2. We would get a driver to pick us up at the terminal by 7:30 ish, get to LHR by 9:30, get tested ( by prebooked appointment). Test results in 30 minutes, so approximately 10:00 am. That gives us 4 hours before our flight at 2:10. Does this seem like a decent plan?
You need to prebook test for LHR. I was not able to get one.

Try to do test on-board day before. If Princess will allow. Air Canada has Switch self test you can purchase & take with you
otherwise I would try for a 3-4 pm flight

That better work.....
We have a 2:15pm flight out of Heathrow (to USA) after getting off the Sky on 3/28. We booked Princess transfers and we need the Covid test also.
Since all was booked with Princess, I'm considering this all doable.
3/28 is a Monday so more traffic Has Princess confirmed testing at end of cruise?
if so, I was told we have to stay until results are received
3-4 hours before flight should be fine. I would want to get to LHR within that time. Did this several times and waiting for Princess bus to load & test results may be a problem

I paid my cruise with FCC & the extra on credit card. I used Cruise with Confidence to cancel 42 days prior to cruise
I also purchased Princess Platinum insurance
I received all of my FCC back to my account & all the money paid to my credit card including the amount paid for the insurance.
the platinum insurance did not have to be usedAdding- the FCC now has an expiry date of 1 year from the date I cancelled

Well,
check your accounts
my FCC was automatically extended to 2023 without me asking

a) What you state is correct above, however I called a Princess phone number and was quoted a price thru Princess. I did not know they were booking the hotel thru Expedia until I got my confirmation.
b) I know that Princess pre-cruise package will include transfers to the hotel and hotel to ship that's why when my confirmation came back and stated it was $17/pp I was doubly confused and questioned the Princess Rep (who disconnected/hung up on me).
My issue is: If you call a Princess phone #, you should expect to be talking with someone that works for Princess and is not a 3rd party person. NEVER was I told that he was booking a room outside of Princess. I've cruised over 35 times, and I'm not new at this but others may get into this trap without knowing better.
Update: I have emailed my concern to Princess Customer Relations but I'm not sure that's going to go anywhere.
This is enough that I would cancel the whole thing if I was within free cancellation period!
I have found so much incorrect information being given when I have called Princess in the past year -
Thanks for the warning

Does anyone know how close to sail date can you cancel if you have PVP-for FCC. I thought it was up to the date of sail. Is that correct?
Yes, for Platinum. Cancel for any reason

The USG advising against Europe travel dates back to 9th February 2022 in relation to Covid so has nothing to do with Ukraine.
Personally I’d feel safer flying to Rome or Athens to board a ship than fly into Miami.
Just read a Saga ship from Southampton to Caribbean is turning back since they made it as far as Portugal with 50 cases of Covid on-board. Full refund

Well, let’s see when Princess updates the UK FAQ if they are honouring their commitment as stated when we booked.
Just checked updated USA - still offer testing post cruise & assistance. If no insurance princess pays etc. check it out

Yes you can. Good opportunity to spend some time in the UK and let your insurance company pay for it.

But the UK rules have changed since then, unless you booked in the last two weeks.
Canada , USA require a negative antigen pre departure test, so you can wander around Uk until you test negative

I understand your point of view, am wondering about cabin steward, crew who deliver your food will accept you not reporting positive test?
surely they will alert Medical if they suspect this
that is more concerning to me that there are others who are positive going on with their cruise, and not regarding the fact they are spreading the virus.
last summer & fall cruising looked like it was being well managed, not so now. I have heard several stories like this one in past 2 months
