Not YOUR fault.  I was referring to the people you commented about and their blaming the cruise line for not catching the wine they were smuggling and wanting reimbursement.  I was speaking from their point of view.  Sorry I wasn't more clear - LOL.

And I believe the post was about the peoples bag that was UNDER the bag that had the wine wanted reimbursement as they should

One thing that drives me crazy about this cruise line is the uncharges and extra charges for every little thing that would otherwise be included.

Just curious what uncharges are and what extras do you feel should be included?

Typically between 4-7 days prior to the cruise, yes.

Now that Allure is doing the 3/4 split it is even closer now. We sailed Friday Dec 8 and was contacted that Monday. I would assume a Monday sailing would not hear from them until the Thursday or Friday before.

I think people need to realize that the suite concierges on Allure and soon Utopia now have double the amount of passengers to deal with on a weekly basis and can not respond to every unsolicited email.

  4. Q

What is a guarantee stateroom and how does it work?

    A

At times we may offer you the option of making a ‘Guarantee’ (GTY) booking. This means you may book a stateroom of a guaranteed category type (Interior, Oceanview, Balcony or Suite) on your chosen ship and cruise. However, the exact grade, number and location of the stateroom on the ship will be allocated by us (at our discretion) and at any time up until checking in at the port.Once your GTY stateroom has been allocated to you, we are unable to accept any changes requested by you. Guests booked in GTY cabins may not be berthed with other travelling parties due to availability. Staterooms allocated may be subject to obstructed views.

Technically the TA is correct but a good one would at least try and see on availability to move

this is another reason we're going to cancel... we've all seen it happen before when routes don't sell...

I was actually seeing this as a reason to not cancel. Wait, roll the dice and see if they cancel before final payment and actually get something out of this. If not then pay the $200 to change. By then the 2025 season will of been released.

Got 2 weeks to think about it

I've never been given different amounts of food based on when I booked a meal. There's the a la carte option and the full dinner option where you pick all your courses.

Maybe that's where the confusion comes in.

This is correct. With the unlimited package you are buying the "combo meal" 1 small plate, 2 large plates and a dessert. You may also sub out the dessert for an additional small plate as the desserts are not great. They value this "combo meal" at about $35. Yes the rolls are a bit smaller.

But if you were to buy a la carte then small plates are $9, large plates are $13-17 each and dessert is $5.  You can decide which is best option for you.

To have some context I'm a big guy and I have never left Izumi nothing but stuffed.

I just know what I like when I'm on vacation.  The appeal of a Royal Up is a potential suite at a lower price.  But I would never choose a GTY.

Just saying if you have a list of preferences, which you did, odds are you will not be happy if you win the bid (long shot anyway). Remember these are most likely rooms nobody else liked the location.

Me personally I could care less about the location if the price is right
