I have been on Mardi Gras 4 times and Celebration once. I’m curious if anyone else considers these as the only ships to sail on. I absolutely love them, never eat in the MDR. My pattern is something like Steakhouse, Rudi’s, Cucina, Chibang, Guy’s P&A, Bonsai. My kids are equally as happy with the water park and Bolt, shows ect. Bottom line we are chill with the crowds and have a great time.
Question - For the east coast US what is the next best ship we would also enjoy? The ports are getting repetitive.

Guy’s P&A or the steakhouse. Good luck!
If not then I’m confusing it with Mardi Gras or another ship.

I have been on Mardi Gras 3 times and Celebration once. Woodford Rs is plentiful but Basil H and Blanton’s ran out quickly.

Last year my family of 5 were on RC Odyssey in Athens and went on a cruise purchased excursion. It was an all day schedule and traffic was difficult around the big attractions. As we neared the end of the stops it was obvious there was no way we were going to make it back to the ship in time.
No one cared, the entire bus, we all enjoyed every minute of being in this amazing city. For me, the lack of stress greatly out weighs any cost savings for independent excursions. We all strolled back onto the ship 1 hour late.

First timers to the Miami port. We are doing a Spring Break cruise on the Celebration and I was concerned about a long line to pay and exit the parking garage on our return home. Would it be better if we can find a spot in the open parking lot "Lot 2" on Google maps?
Appreciate any info from the Miami experts. Thanks.

Put the money in a slot > Hit Cash Out > take the ticket to the Cashier > take the cash to a table game.
Easy peasy.

RC rep told my TA that it will take 14 days for the OBC to be processed through the system for the price drop compensation. After this I should get an email confirmation of the credit. Does this sound similar to others that have already done this? Thanks.

If you used a TA, do you have to go through them to get the price drop credit?
Thanks

UT-OH. Just logged into my reservation for MG leaving on Saturday and no Internet Plans were available.

I also just received exemption approval for my 10 year old with an August 7 sail date. So 12 days in advance.
I still don’t see any ‘Bubble Tours’ in the excursions. Anyone with prior experience with these? I’m wondering if we will have to wait until we’re onboard.

Travelling Dec. 11 on Elation with a 3 kids - 10, 14 and 15. The two older ones will be vaccinated. My question is about excursions with the 10 year old. Is it any of the excursions booked through Carnival or just certain ones? Will she have to wear a mask everywhere even on the ship? I realize this is also assuming nothing changes for December protocols.
Of course nothing is guaranteed, we all know this, but by December I would expect Pfizer to be approved for a 10 year old. If you so choose...

We're booked on Mardi Gras for Thanksgiving week, and one of our kids is 7. The other is 14 and vaccinated.
What is the process for requesting the vaccine exemption for our 7 year old? Do we need to wait for a communication from Carnival before we can make the request? Or do we just call Carnival's 800 number?
Carnival contacted us via email with a link to apply for the exemption. Since your trip is not until November, hopefully you won't have to go through this.

Curious as to how many have applied for exemptions for unvaccinated kids? How many were approved and how many have been denied?
We have one coming up in October and wondering what our odds are.
I'll let you know when we get our answer. 23 days to go until our Mardi Gras August 7th sail date.... still waiting.
2 adults / 3 kids - One of which (10 year old) needs an exemption.

I am going to try first thing in the morning. Seems the email triggered a mass of people trying to access. Deadline is next Tuesday for me, maybe others are similar.

Submitted exception request for the 7/24/21 Breeze sailing on 6/8 and received approval on 6/23.

My PVP said we should know by the first week in July, which will give us time to make arrangements (flights, etc). I hope we don't have to wait much longer. I'm okay either way but I hate the waiting. Good luck.
Thanks, this seems consistent. Looks like about 30 days in advance is the current pace.

I've seen a few threads about this. Dont have kids myself but I've seen a few who got approved. Might be a few answers for you here, threads start to stray so might have more than one ship here.
Some from july and August have been approved.
Thanks. That's a good thread for reference...

Has anyone who submitted the online vaccine exemption form received a response? If so, when did you receive it compared to your sail date?
I am waiting for my 10 year old and our sail date is Mardi Gras on Aug 7th.
Thanks

Hi, we’re new to NCL. It seems like almost everyone will have drinks included based on the deals offered. Does this make it difficult? I’m imagining a huge crowd at every bar on the ship.
I’m NOT referring to low season. Please don’t tell me how easy it is with half occupancy. Think spring or early summer with a full ship. What’s it like?
Thanks.
