I saw a video from cruise bloggers that showed them at the new Margaritaville resort in Nassau. I'd check it out. It looked nice and not too expensive for a day pass.

I actually visited there for my visit in March, very nice pool area that overall appears to be nicer than the official cruise beaches.  And just past the British Colonial so no worries about getting back

We ended up booking a last minute Alaskan cruise on the Spirit to replace our London cruise. There weren't many cabins left.

Will I regret booking 7147?  I have never been that far forward.  Are you more likely to feel sea sick?  Will that be an issue on an Alaskan cruise?

Thanks for any thoughts you can share!

I would question what your normal sea sickness levels are to really be able to gage.  I really don’t get Sea Sick so I had no issues with a walkway view on the 7th deck of the Conquest even when we had some noticeably rough water.

  3. Everything except the uncovered beach chairs and the buffet dining is an extra charge.  And While they have a towel booth, I recommend you bring your own towels so you aren’t stuck waiting on a delivery from the ship.  The coastal cruise is cool

My email confirmation said I would receive further directions at the port. I don't think anything else will be sent. Did you get a confirmation when you registered?

Once you arrive at the Port for your cruise on the on 04/XX/2022, you will receive further directions for your on-site test. Thank you.

I got a very generic confirmation like that last statement and that was it.  When I did it this past Monday out of Miami on the Conquest, I informed them at the document check before security screening and I was escorted to the testing area after my carry on was scanned.  Test was real quick, they verified that i was registered and then straight to sample collection.  15 minutes later I was sent a text that I showed and had my boarding pass stamped then off to the check in counter.  I went in at 10:30am, and they started boarding shortly after I visited the check-in counter.

I'm sailing the 28th out of Miami and signed up for the $10.00 test.  The response I received was generic with limited information on testing so I'm just looking for verification that what you saw was the $10.00 test. I'd hate to fly down there only to find out the test wasn't available.

Can you tell me what you saw was clearly the $10.00 test that was being offered? The testing sign up was very generic and the response I received after signing up was limited. Thanks

If you signed up, you just let them know when they check your documents inside the terminal and they will guide you to the testing site.  It was real easy and being pre-registered everything was ready without a long wait.  I went into the terminal at 10:30am, the flow was security, testing, check-in counter and I was fully checked in as they were starting boarding.  I got just the extremely generic confirmation email, but everything went smoothly on my cruise Monday.

you can only match Mlife Gold to CET Diamond once

Still haven't gotten an email back from mlife member services email. Dunno how long I should wait before I just call

Though that is not really a problem because you can match CET Diamond with Wyndham and get a perpetual status machine going as CET and Wyndham have different calendars.  You can actually pull the same arrangement with Hyatt so your RCI status can also give you perpetual Hyatt Status by matching your MGM Rewards Status.

I signed up for one too but I'll try to get tested before I fly down. For $10.00 it's one less thing to worry about. 🙂

Exactly.  I have the rapid tests for checking before I travel, and $10 for a proctored test that results will be available in time is a steal.

  8. And to note that Carnival does offer a fun match that will give you an offer based on casino status.  I got $200 deposit + taxes and fees for an interior (including porthole and walkway views) with $200 OBC, $100 fun play, and free drinks while gambling in the casino for Caesars Diamond and MGM Gold with zero previous cruises with Carnival.

Do the casino deals only happen for those who gamble a lot? How much do you guys cruise? How much do you guys gamble ? What a your vifp level?  If you are willing to share I would love to know ^.^

So I have casino status thanks to taking advantage of some hotel status matches to Mlife Gold and Caesars Diamond.  I used a Carnival fun match and they offered for my first cruise the FS1 offer which is $200 deposit with $200 OBC +taxes with $100 FreePlay, and free drinks in the casino.  I was even able to use this offer to book Sailabration cruises, with no fees to upgrade within the interior room category including to the walkway view rooms.

  10. From my travels over the past year in the pandemic, I've learned that the secret to spending extended time in a mask is all about mask comfort, and finding a mask that is most comfortable for you.  My personal favorites are the style sold as "Korean Pop Star Masks" which are multi-layer and extremely comfortable for me, and stay very form fitting and very easy to position for minimal fog.
