Why would Disneyland have a balloon with a Royal Caribbean logo on it? 😁

Well, it's made by the same company- you know what I mean!

Different views too before you start on that, though I'm not sure what is better- french countryside and a Disney park or an island and the blue sea 🙂

The point I'm making is at over 4x the cost of the one in Paris - a place noted to be expensive anyway, this one is a bit of a rip off.

  2. On the First BCN cruise this year the line with reservations was huge every night at 7:30 wrapping around the elevator banks, however it moved very quickly.

The line without reservations was not moving at all and just as long- they were telling people to come back later.

  3. I racked up 1500 points on a recent cruise and received a offer of a comp room and $100 free play, I booked it using the clubroyale online form when I got home- no nextcruise credit and oddly they came back with an invoice with a zero value- no taxes to pay.

Not sure what to do with it now, its all linked and showing as no balance to pay!

I'd be interested to know what RCI would do if our UK Insurers promised to pay them via the phone.

The only incident I've had with the medical facility is that my girlfriend became unwell about 5 years ago onboard (continuous vomiting / faint). Needed an IV and monitoring for an hour or so. Then felt better. Bill was around $900. It was charged to my card and I claimed back from the insurance once we got back to the UK.

In a scenario of thousands of $$$ I'd like to know if they'd accept a UK insurer paying them remotely.

I know most UK underwriters would expect you to contact them upfront if the invoice is over a certain amount normally £500 so they can pre authorise treatment.  They can refuse to pay if you don't do it as soon as possible.  I'd assume the ship would let you call them for free.

RCL gives the impression to me to patch you up and get you off the ship ASAP, so I'd think it is unlikely you would run up tens of thousands with them, but that's a guess.

And I've taken care a many, many hospitalized patients who have had a Qualified Doctor NOT prescribe them Imodium for the simple fact that doing so would worsen their situation.  I've also taken care of many hospitalized patients who DO have Imodium prescribed for them.  It's situation-dependent.

I'm not saying that Imodium/Loperamide in and of itself is a dangerous medication to take -- simply that taking it when unsure of the underlying cause of the illness can exacerbate the effects of the illness or cause additional complications that would not have occurred if the medication hadn't been used.

Better out than in as my Mother would say 🙂

Are you saying you've never attended a comedy show where the majority of the comic's act is to pick on audience members?

I think the big difference is if you are going to a comedy club it's fair game and you sort of expect to be picked on.

Listening to a piano show in the bar is a bit different.  While he does have his fans his show is a lot different to what you would expect listening to a lounge act in a relaxed bar, we sat through it and thought wow really

He is on RCCL, saw him a couple months ago.  You might not like his show, and we're not fans.  But he has MANY fans on RCCL.  Believe it or not some book cruises just because he is there.

I did see he had his fans. As with everything it can't appeal to everyone I suppose.

He seemed very popular on BGT the other night too. Maybe he will do well.

Still think he has a massive attitude problem though 😕

  8. I saw him on Anthem and thought he was rude and quite insulting with backhanded comments to some in the audience, I'm sure I heard his contract was not renewed on here shortly after.

We also watched him in 270 doing a sound check one afternoon and he was talking into an open mike to the tech guys upstairs, he was err blunt and annoyed to say the least with them.  I'm not surprised he's not on RCL at the moment with his attitude.

  9. On Oasis last week I thought the food was very good.  The MDR food was consistently good and service was fast and friendly.  The Turkey dinner was a large portion of meat one night that I struggled to finish.

The WindJammer was the usual stuff, nothing exciting or bad, apart from the desserts- how do they manage to make something look so nice and taste MEH!

Overall I had no complaints with the food or the service.

Thank you for this.  It seems more and more in the current social climate, our patriotism and pride is viewed as unwanted nationalism by our brothers and sisters across the Atlantic.

I appreciate your recognition that it is, pure and simple, pride; with no nefarious overtones.

    Cheers!

I wish the UK had more pride and patronage like they do in USA especially for armed forces and emergency services. The abuse some of our front line people get is unbelievable .

Fly your flag with pride and a big smile. Absolutely nothing wrong in being proud of where you come from.

If it makes you feel any better, last month, they were working on oasis too. Somehow, we managed to push through and still have a fabulous time.

I'm definitely not letting the few niggles get to me. The beverage package helps!

Now I just need the casino to be kind to me this evening

Is there anything you are pleased with?

Staff crew. Blooming amazing and the mojitos.

I did say above I was being a bit of a negative Annie. Though I do wish I could turn the fan in the shower off!

Gives me an excuse to drink more to sleep.

    Leaving now for France x

They have the Albanian guy in custody.
They have the addresses of the two places where they tried to use the credit cards which are across the street from each other. Whether the police will do anything like look at security camera footage .. I doubt it.

They have a photo of my brand new Kate bag which is bright yellow so easily identifiable. As you say our passports are probably in a bin whilst some Albanian lowlife is walking round with my brand new bag causing us all this inconvenience trapping us in Spain for at least 48 hours.

I’m most gutted about the un replaceable things … like my pinnacle passport holder!

Main thing is nobody was hurt. Must have been a shock

Sadly the police in bcn have given up on petty theft. I hope you get a resolution but the best thing you can do is put it behind you and move on and definitely don't let it get to you.

  14. Lots of drilling in the solarium and central park. They were re assembling one of the water slides looks like a big job

Not very relaxing in these areas at all. I understand they need maintenance but we were docked all day and they thought the best time to restart all this was in the afternoon just as everyone is getting back in board

Sone areas of the ship look v tatty. The windows everywhere are dirty, My room has what looks like blood stains on the curtain and it's ripped with holes in it. The vent in the bathroom is like a 747 engine it's so loud.

I'd expect more from a 3 star hotel. This ship is a bit of a rust bucket.
