  1. Back home from one week Greek islands cruise with Gem. L-O-V-E-D the PPBP. Made a nice cruise a great cruise. Ordered at least one bottle of wine every dinner. Really nice to don't have call a waiter for every refill. The selection of bottles was ok and nothing was out of stock. Found the Simi and Napa Valley's to be the best red wines. Drank lots of Veuve Clicquot at Magnums. That's a fine champagne. The selection of whisky was ok but not great. Didn't find the really high end stuff like Blue label but Macallan quest and some other nice malts was available in most indoor bars. The only real bummer was that Veuve Clicquot was out on the last day (probably partly because of me 😅), the replacement was Chandon from California, a nice sparkling but not like Veuve. My next cruise will without a doubt be with NCL and this package.
  2. Thanks for clarifying. I thought that maybe it was limited to the French restaurants in the Specialty dining. Seems like Moët & Chandon Brut Impérial is the one often included as bottle, and Veuve Clicquot "yellow label" by the glas. And both those are decent IMO. Btw Yellow label cost $35 a glas without the package... brrr.
  3. Anyone been on a recent cruise and can tell something about the champagne availability? What brands and if there was bottle's available at the speciality restaurants like Cagney's?
  4. Ok thats a good deal. The 300-350€ was based on what the flight that NCL included in the deal cost when I booked. Sure there was cheaper options but I would't fly Ryanair for several reasons. I might be "ripped off" going with NCL but if so I´m still happily ripped off as long they deliver what I expect.
  5. As a single cruiser? Then I'm impressed. Especially if the drink package covers as much as the Free at sea plus. And the airtransfer should be around 300-350€ +
  6. For my 7 night Greek Island cruise I pay around 1400 € for a inside cabin, including Free at sea, including gratuities, and including airfare Stockholm-Venice (return trip). For adding the Free at sea plus I pay 270 € more, also including gratuities. Totaling around 1700 €. I'm alone in the cabin so for two the price would have been way lower per person, obviously. I plan to not spend any money at all on the ship, or max $100 for the entire week, I'll report back after cruise how it went.
  7. Thats true. I'm getting the PPBP as part of the Free at sea plus, which for me is a good deal since I was going to get more speciality dining and unlimited wi-fi anyway. And from what I hear the Free at sea plus is cheaper before you're onboard. So I'll take my chances 🙂 But the only thing that's going to get me really disappointed is if they skip the champagne bottles for dinner. But I have not seen any version of this flyer, nor dining menu, since they started PPBP without 1-3 bottles of champagne included so fingers crossed.
  8. Thanks. They do mention several high end spirits so hopefully there's a good chance that at least some of them are available on the cruise (in my case, Gem, Greek islands 9/10), or nice replacements. And regardless I assume that this list is final proof that there's no 35 $ price cap. 😊 The PPBP is going to be expensive for NCL when me and my father set foot on that boat 😄 And we are still not 'heavy drinkers' per se.
  9. Ok, as long they have some champagne and somewhat decent selection of bottles of red for dinner I'm fine. I would actually be (happily) suprised if the mentioned ones are available at other bars than only Maltings. But just the option to be able to drink them somewhere on the boat makes this package a no brainer for me 🙂
  10. Sorry if this is posted earlier, but my consultant claims this is the latest description of whats included in the PPBP. Premium-Plus-Beverage-Package-0922[15621].pdf I see some nice stuff here, Hennessy XO, Macallan Terra/Enigma, JW Blue label... Im going to print this and bring to the cruise ☺️ In the fine print I do read "Beverage selection is subject to change on board", but how often is that? This list is supposed to be valid now.
