  1. I can't say enough good things for Park N Go in Ft. Lauderdale. We have used them twice with EXCELLENT service.

You pay in advance online, pull right in, they load your luggage and wisk you away to the cruise port. When we got off at 630 am they were there waiting . We were in our car 30 min or less after getting off the ship.

  2. You can' t sit at the bar on Oasis and smoke. There are some tables in the front of it which you can smoke.

I sat on the smoking side to get away from all the strong perfume on the non smoking side ! :D:D:D:D:o;) ( was a joke people)

Seriously though...the casino is split for smoking...no smoking at the bar, but smoking in the small tables on the side of the smoking.

Plenty of places to smoke or not to smoke.

  3. It was your gambling that did it. I just got back from a 4 day'er the Mirage I have not cruised rci yet (first will be in a few weeks) so i started from scratch with a sapphire card. During my stay I racked up enough to put me at pearl status. I had my room total tab comp'd (room was prepaid), two free buffets and 250 in free game play. All in all about 600 bucks worth of free stuff. I lost maybe about 1200 bucks. Was up and down constantly. Your CA status just gave you a gold colored card for appearance sake to get you the vip buffet/taxi pass. All your comps were based on your game play.

yes, I am sure it was...but not bad considering i came out a few hundred ahead. Also, they not only cleared the 378 from my room bill, after I was home a few days a credit of 238 showed up on my card from them as well...so sounds very similar to what you received.

  4. We just returned from Vegas there a few weeks ago, and picked up our gold MLIFE card upon check in. ( we are diamond)

My hotel stay was already paid since I was on a business trip, but they did upgrade us to a strip view.

We ate at MGM every night at the various dining options, and I gambled on the slots in the evenings. I probably lost 1500.00 overall in slots, and won it all back on the last day plus a few hundred. When we checked out our room bill was 378.00 due to charges we placed throughout our stay.

I asked them to check to see if MLIFE covered any of the expenses, and they came back a few minutes later and cleared the entire bill.

I don't know if my "Mlife" status helped clear that or the amount I gambled through the week.....but it seemed to have some perks. I was told the "strip " view is normally an additional 15.00 per night, and there is a 25.00 a night "resort fee" that they waved.

If you do plan on going to vegas, sign up on line for your card, then call them to have them upgrade your card to your C&A status. Once you arrive in vegas, pick up your new card BEFORE you check in, and have it in hand when you do check in.

It sure seemed to help us.

  5. We were just on Jewel, and there was an elderly couple that had rented a motorized cart, and didnt have an accessible room.

The cart was parked in the hall every night. I was a little suprised that was allowed.

The sad part about using electic carts, is they often wait a long time to get an elevator that is empty enough to get the cart on. Some don't care if it's empty, they wheel right in running over feet !

I have a suggestion on future ships, that one elevator on each end is designated W/C, and it takes a seapass card ( which is programmed for handicap) to allow them to call the elevator.

I think that would save grief on all parties involved.

  6. Just driving around seeing the different culture was interesting. We did have lunch at Playa Bonita, and it was great. Keep in mind everything is "open air" there, but the food was great. I do not reccommend the "large" marguarita unless you have a few hours to sleep when you get back to the ship :D

We did an "informational" tequilla free tour which was a little cheesy but the shots at the end were great lol.

Coconuts is a very fun bar at the highest point in Cozumel. Not sure if you want to take your DD there, some people like to get pictures of their "coconuts " taken at the bar lol. Great view and great ambience to sit and have a drink. They have some large parrots there that are entertaining as well....

I know Leo will have some great suggestions for your family...he was a great driver. Tell him Sue said hello from Florida ! We invited him to have lunch with us at Playa Bonita....and it was very intersting to learn more about his culture and living on Cozumel.

Have a great time, we plan on doing it again in March !

  7. We just returned and we had Leo and he was awesome ! Will definately use their service again when we go back to Cozumel. He took us anywhere we wanted to go and was very informative on the history of Cozumel.

The service was excellent. We have always been leary about using a private tour on the islands, but after reading so many positive reviews we gave it a try. Was very well worth the money we spent ! Had a great day !

  8. Enjoy your cruise!

Not to hijack this thread, just a quick question-I'll be staying at the Embassy Suites in Dec.-pre-cruise hotel...in Miami...if you are staying at this one, do you know if you can book a shuttle-for a fee-to the port? If so, are there different times one can sign up for? Otherwise, I can just cab it.) Thanks!

We are at the one in Ft. Lauderdale, so don't now sorry. Here i do see a sign for "cruise " parkng, so i assume they have a shuttle.

  9. We had Alberto, and he was great.

I have a number of pictures of our excursion in the Oasis review.

Was a great time, really enjoyed the east side.

We did no touristy things, just told him to get to the east side, hit some bars, beaches, had lunch at Playa Bonita.

Thanks !! Going to check out your review. We are at Embassy now staring at the port ! Cant wait to see the ship come in and get his party started !

    Thanks for the post !

  10. Well with all the great reviews here, we booked driver for the day on our cruise next week. We were assigned Alberto.

It's just my husband and I going, so we thought we would do the tequila tour, choc factory, playa bonita..and whatever else comes our way.

Anyone ever have Alberto ? Also, what have some of you tipped on your trips ?

    Thanks !
