Moderno Steak house, did ever leave that place hungry? Well we did. We started getting the meat course before the sides ever arrived. The " best meat " for us was the bacon wrap chicken. Entertainment 

Did you ever cruise with three comedians? We had Mike Burton ( fantastic ), Jay Black ( always checked his watch ) and Joe Larsen ( checked his notes all the time ). They were used to fill in the gaps of no entertainment. Several nights in the main theater or down in the Illusionarium and then finally Headliners. Once you seen an act expect a near repeat of the same material even the +18 show. 

Besides the two main shows Burn the Floor and the Million Dollar Quartet. The show downstairs Broadway Unplugged that was it, nothing else, not even a terrible magician or acrobatics.

 

 

 

 

This had me laughing so much. Mike Burton was good because he interacted with the audience. After Jay Black's second time doing the SAME EXACT SHOW, I wanted to offer to do the SAME EXACT SHOW for him the following THREE TIMES!!!! I only saw Joe once so I can't comment on that. 

Modernos is my favorite specialty restaurant. I really only go for the lamb chops and pineapple. We got the sides first and by the time the meat came out, the sides were cold. Plus, because I was only eating lambchops (I guess partly my fault?), there were only 2 or 3 on the skewer by the time it got to me so I had to wait another 20 minutes for more to be cooked. 

Its annoying, especially if you are paying extra but not so bad if you were to put it in the whole perspective of life...

Ripcord by iFly is the same thing thing.  

Northstar is free too but the same thing goes- reservations open at 8 and go quickly, although I found Northstar to be slightly easier to get than ifly. Also, Northstar is only free in port.

I was on 12/12 cruise. Yes, it is free, sort of. A limited amount. Only on port days at certain times and they go quickly. It is on the royal app but only released at 8:00 on the day of. By 8:02, all the free spots are taken. Of course there are many other times you can purchase it- I believe its $49.00

Be nice, be patient! These crew members are working extremely hard under difficult circumstances! They always have a smile on their face and are very happy, regardless of their long and busy schdules. 

Just some of the rude encounters I saw---

-Im not sure what the passenger was refering to but he was scolding one of the the workers that a certain item is never out when it should be and he it expects it out when he gets to the windjammer. Says something like "this is ridiculous for this to happen. I am paying a lot of money to be treated better than this"

- passenger says to me something like, "I can't believe how slow they are, it's just not acceptable and downright rude." Yea, hunny...you are the rude one. 

-server picks up tongs to serve fruit to passenger. Passenger grabs tongs from serves and takes her own fruit stating that he was giving her the "bad pieces"

-guy making omelets clearly was not at the top of his game. Woman called over another chef and very angrily stated "this dude doesn't know how to make a damn omelet. Can you show him how?" This womans omelet was very detailed and required a lot more than the "average" omelet. He made her 3 omelets until it was sort of satisfactory.

The original chef made my omelet which definitley was not up to par but I thanked him as it seemed he did the best he could, especially after being brutally criticized by previous passenger.

Seated in theater- it was RECOMMENDED that parties sit 1 seat away from other parties. 1 group sat next to a couple and there was such a fight. Goes something like this---

"You guys need to move"

"no you move, we were here first."

"Yea, but Im not crazed about having an open seat in between"

"Yes, but they require it. "

"No, they RECCOMEND it. Thats different than require."

"I said you need to move right now."

--'The second group ended up moving. 

Come on people. Be nice. Let things go. Be the bigger person. Move if you are uncomfortable. You are on vacation, don't unnecessarily aggravate yourself (or others)

As for staff--- they were amazing. 

But the Jewelry store staff. 

Yes, I know their point is to sell jewelry. But they follow your EVERY STEP.  They tell you about every thing you possible look at. And more. And they compliment every piece of jewelry you are wearing. LEAVE ME ALONE! If I need help or want to see something, I will ask. Following me around like a hawk and explaining everything is pushing me away.

This will be my downfall. Starting tomorrow. 

If you happen to be near Cafe at 270, would you mind taking a picture of the menu? There is not one on the app.

Is it like a sit down type restaurant or can you take it to go somewhere else to eat?

How much are masks being enforced? If you are sitting indoors (not actively eating/drinking), are you required to wear masks? (Yes to vaccination)

Do you know if texting to other passengers is free if you already have the voom package? 

Or do you have to buy the $1.99/day also?

Also-  where is the indoor pool in relation to the solarium? They look to be in the same place but the solarium is for (V) and indoor poor is for (E).

I'm seeing a variety of information regarding texting.

If I don't have an internet package, is there a way that I can text others on the ship? - maybe using the Royal app? (I have android)

Can you make reservations for northstar and ripcord prior to boarding? I don't see any option to do so on the app. I am sailing next week, Dec 12. 

If it cannot be done on the app, where on the ship do you go to make reservations for these 2 activities? 

Also, if other people in your party do not want to try the ripcord, can you use their free minute for yourself given their permission?

I know someone asked a different question about omelets earlier in the thread.

Can you get an omelet made at the windjammer for breakfast? Last cruise (Harmony) I was on you had to go to the wipout bar just to get an omelet made. They had scrambled eggs at the windjammer but would not make a fresh omelet there.

Thank you for taking time to answer these questions. I can imagine they take up quite a bit of your time.

Is the trapeze open? 

According to the cruise compass, bumper cars are open a very limited time. Is this true?

Are the bracelets "vaccinated bracelets" and worn all the time? Can you post a picture?
