Thanks a million for posting this! I didn’t even know it existed. I was recently offered the chance to upgrade. My bid is so low that chances are slim, but I can at least keep track of it this way.
Hi there how do I go about using this link? If it states pending once I put in my details (last name & reservation) is that a good sign? Do I still have an opportunity to increase my bid?
-
Does this seem like the logical thing for NCL to do? Been tracking an Escape July 2022 cruise and the closer to departure the prices have been increasing consistently week by week. I would think it to be opposite, drops fares -> sell more cabins -> make more profit? Just a thought I wanted to put out there, I know theres way more factors that probably play into it.

Hm I’ve read the fine print but if I purchase (pre-cruise) a few excursions or a photo package or dining package wouldn’t it just appear on my bank statement as Norwegian Cruise Line and I’ll be able to trigger the credit? Would anyone know how Amex will know if it’s for a reservation just by the charge? Any advice is welcome!

You know I've always had this question! Been looking at med itineraries and one leaving in 2 weeks has not dropped as much as I expected. I guess Norwegian is ok with the number of cabins the sold so they are not planning to drop much more!

Can someone chime in if you have your own negative test 24 hours before Embarkation if you still have to test at port?

This just got me so excited for my first cruise on the Escape! Thank you!!!

I was on the April 16 sailing. Despite a few hiccups with ports (missed Tortola and we were overnight in St. Thomas), the cruise was as close to perfect as any other. Food, service and entertainment was great and the crew was so happy to have guests back after a nearly one-month hiatus. Wish Escape was staying in the U.S. for the summer as it is my favorite ship.
Thank you so much for sharing! I am planning my first cruise with NCL on this ship, can you tell me what cabin you stayed in? Do you think paying a little more for a club balcony is worth it?
-
Hope everyone had a wonderful sailing, just very curious on how things went onboard!

So is it confirmed this cruise is a go?
-
I'm guessing this cruise is a go? Surely its a very high traffic Spring Break week and many will have started the journey to the cruise port so if NCL would have cancelled they would have said so already?

I’m on the 16th sailing as well. I’m feeling weirdly optimistic about it. I feel like if we don’t get a cancellation by the end of today it’s likely it’s going on as planned. Surely they wouldn’t cancel it with o Lu three days to spare? Or may the would. Lol.
Eagerly awaiting this news as well!

I wonder if the following transatlantic sailing is going to be effected. That would mean Sumner Med sailings will be heavily impacted.

From the Jade on our cruise starting on the 17th April ......
On the Roll Call or as a new general thread?
thank you! I am new to this and was not familiar with roll call!

Really curious as to how embarkation went and how visiting the ports is currently going? Any and all commentary welcome!
-
Thanks for the replies! I've read a bunch of articles stating vaccinations expiring if more than 6 months from the second shot/booster, I guess that was my main concern.
-
Just wondering if any information has been released regarding COVID testing, vaccine timeline (how much time has passed since booster/second shot), regulations at different ports of call? Cant seem to find any useful info on Norwegians website.
-
Thank you I guess I am driving myself crazy with the EU digital Coivd pass. I keep reading that you need to pay to get your CDC card converted to a EU QR code. But how do you do that before getting on a the ship.
-
I am trying to find a checklist of some sort or even somewhere on the MSC website that details all that is needed prior to embarkation.(ie Passport, Covid test, locator form, QR code?)
-
That is an improved itinerary!

Has anyone recently debarked from a NON US port and was able to receive a COVID test onboard for return flight to the States?
Do you pay out of pocket for Norwegian to test you and do you get your results back on time? If I purchase the supervised home test (the AG card one) would the internet on board be sufficient to actually complete test and get results?

I'm torn between choosing between a Mediterranean itinerary on the Gem vs. the Escape this coming May. A few things:
The Gem has an amazing itinerary with a new port everyday, however the ship is showing its age and due to the many days on the ship I would need to book a Club Balcony at the very lease for some decent counter space.
The Escape well is a bigger boat and is what I'm used to having sailed CCL Mardi Gras & RCCL Symphony of the Seas; however there is one sea day (which I don't mind) and the date I am looking at does not include a stop in France (Cannes/Monte Carlo) while the Gem does.
What would you do? The Escape is vastly cheaper than the Gem btw. Does it make sense to sacrifice more amenities/modern room for a better itinerary on the Gem or save money and have a better room but without the stop in southern France I was really looking forward to?
Thank you so much in advance for reading this far and any opinions you have!

If someone can explain this to me as if I’m 5 it would be really appreciated. I am trying to understand Norwegians cancellation policy and the language online is a little confusing. If l pay in full for a completely new booking (say today) that sails in May am I able to cancel say 2 weeks before without penalty (for Covid reasons or port changes). This would be a sailing out of Rome and being a NY resident I don’t qualify for Norwegians added insurance for some reason. It’s seems a little risky right now to book however from personal experience it seems like spring/summer when things were getting better last year (and in part 2020) cruise and flight prices skyrocketed so if I can book a good price now I’d like to.
-
If anyone did any of these sailings please let me know how they went! Really hoping I can finally do the Greek Isles cruise on the Gem this May. Bucket list trip has been in the works for 3.5 years!

Thank you for this post! Will you be trying out the seafood specialty restaurant?
