    The first lifeboat has arrived at the shipyard (at the dock), probably the one that arrived with the Baltic Amelie. 25.4.2023

    Baltic Amelie arrived at Port of Turku at 1am and brought the last Icon's lifeboat. It was really DARK, I didn't think I would get any photos 25.4.2023 PS. thanks to Lloyd for finding out the ship's name and time for the delivery.

    No, last night it was too dark (also very windy, that's why I don't have any drone footage of the ship's arrival) when the ship arrived, and later with the drone I wasn't able to go that close because I try not to fly inside the port if possible. This is from today just before the BBC Nile left.

    They have removed the covers from the funnels and I see some smoke too! 14.3.2023

    not much have happened lately (except for the interior but well, I have no access to that), but here is some random photos from last and this month. They have attached some anchor chains to the starboard side of the ship, but no anchor yet. PS. the photos seems to be in random order too 😄

    There are actually two ships, MERI and AURA, both owned by MERIAURA (the company itself). The newer of the ships, MERI, is actually built here in Turku.

    Couple photos for now, I'll post more later but now I need some sleep.

    So today was the day for the float out ceremony! They were already filled the pool before the event, propably during last night. They fired a cannon too at the end of the ceremony, which you can see in the third photo if you look very closely 😄 they might start to move the ship tonight. Tug 'Saturn' is currently on its way to the shipyard, the rest of the tugs comes from the Port of Turku.

    Haven't been there for a while, so not sure. Icon have AIS turned on for now.

    Icon's float out ceremony will be on this friday morning. They will move the ship day or two later to the outfitting pier.

    Some photos from last night. The rear arch has received its logo, but it is protected with plastic wrap for now. Also the part of the ship's name is also now visible at the stern.
