Is Carnival's Luggage Express offered for debarkation in San Juan?
-
Yes you can make a call using Facebook messenger if you have the social media plan. We were even able to do a video call!!
-
I just went out of New Orleans week before last and carried on Premier Protein cartons with no problem at all. They looked at them and put them back in my carry on bag.
-
What if you do Luggage Express? You don't have access to anything but your carry on luggage until you get to your home airport?
Oh nevermind...I see the answer now....missed it earlier.
-
BTW....Coco, I hope you are doing well after surgery! We both had it at the same time :)
-
There are a few desserts I really like...like Bitter n' Blanc and the Cappuchino Pie. On the nights they have those, I'll make sure not to eat my fill of protein. :)

Actually, he said the wings were $5 and the fries were $1.50.
Still a good deal to me!

Which ships have the pay room service menu available?
-
I think instead of paying $5 per phone to use the texting that many say can be unreliable, I would just use the free features of the Hub and pay the Social Media fee instead. We did the social media while on the Sunshine and just set up a group using the facebook Messenger and communicated with everyone in our group that way. That way we could also keep up with facebook and keep in touch with people at home using the Messenger. The social media plan worked great.

I had Vertical Gastric Sleeve surgery in mid May 2015 and will be going on a short cruise the end of July.
I am pretty sound in what and how much foods I can eat and having been on many cruises, I'm confident in not having any issues in that.
However, I was wondering, from anyone who has cruised after WLS, did you tell your dining room server at the beginning of the cruise that you wouldn't be able to eat much? I know when we go to a regular restaurant the servers are concerned that I didn't like the food b/c I only eat a few bites. The servers on a cruise normally seem even more concerned as to whether you enjoyed your dinner or not. So, I am wondering if it will benefit the wait team to know ahead of time that I will only eat a couple bites but that doesn't mean I didn't like it.

Does anyone have any recent info on whether the Sunshine offers Luggage Express to MCO for her 7 day cruises.
Also, does Carnival offer shuttle service to MCO after the cruise?
Thanks in Advance!

This is ONLY available on the Breeze at this time.
The Breeze is the only ship with the Carnival Hub app.
The Breeze, Sunshine and Freedom offer the Social Network internet package.

Booked a Havana Cabana this morning for April 22, 2017! I sure hope the next 799 days fly by!

If you apply the cards to OBC and don't use it all, is it refundable at end of cruise?
No need to apply the card to your sailing before you go. When you are on board, you an stop at one of the kiosks (or go to Guest Services) and apply whatever portion of the balance you want to your S&S account. Whatever you don't use will stay on the card for later use, just like a regular gift card.

A friend was on Legend recently. They sent me a copy of their Diamond invite.
The Captain invited them to enjoy sail away with him when they left Cozumel.
They were the only Diamonds on board and were quite embarassed by some extra attention given to them.
Oh, I'm afraid I would embarrass myself if I were to be invited to the bridge with the Captain after a day in Cozumel.

We now stay on board a lot when in port. We have been to just about all the ports a least a couple times now, so unless there is something we REALLY enjoy doing, we stay on the ship.
We don't go to the dining rooms during the day, so I can't answer that question. But the lido buffet and all the other lunch options are open and there are no lines. The Serenity deck (as well as all the other decks) are nearly empty and the pools are wonderfully free of children :) There will still be bar waiters out on the decks to bring you drinks, but there won't be as many as usual.

Can't believe no one has mentioned the wings!! OMG..they were yummy! And I have to second the painkiller drink!
I am going to miss the RFP on my next few sailings, but we will definitely be back on a ship with it before long.
The Freedom will have the Alchemy Bar AND the Red Frog Pub....now that is my kinda ship!
-
Some of the chairs in the dining room do have arms, but if you ask they would bring you one without arms. I am a 26-28 and don't have a problem with the dining room chairs. I have found that the chairs at the outside Lido area are a bit snug, but then again, there are some that don't have sides...just have to look for one.
As for the pool, don't let the ladder keep you out of the pool!! Remember, you are more buoyant in water (especially in salt water)...so, just step on the bottom step, give yourself little bounce and climbing up is easy.
I've never had any trouble with the in-cabin bathroom size. In the public restrooms, there is always a bigger stall on the end. It's not wheelchair size bigger, but bigger than the others.

I believe you!!! ;) I have been on a LOT of Spirit class ships (EXCEPT the Pride! :( ) and I don't remember the retractable roof. I guess we were lucky and had warm/nice weather and never had to use it or else I just never noticed!:confused: This is scaring me lol. :o
Karen, I hate to add to your memory loss worries, but the Triumph, Victory and Destiny (before she became the Sunshine) also have retractable roofs.

Not something I particularly want to carry around to give Carnival free advertising.
Then give it away, throw it away or whatever....it's a GIFT.
-
I'd like to know this too! We are on the Breeze the first week of April. I really hope they are still doing the tote bag!
-
Fantasy class ships have a rotisserie in the main lido deck area...between the grill and the wok area.
-
In that link, the ship name will appear twice, if you replace the name in both places of whichever ship you are looking for information, it will open up any ship description.

Yes, if Carnival says 8am that is the same as 9am on the island.
MDR after Weight Loss Surgery
in Lose Before You Cruise
Posted
Sorry Coco...I just now re-checked this thread. I did tell the wait staff the first night so they wouldn't keep asking if I wanted something else. By the second night, the head waiter gave me the dessert menu at the same time as the main menu so I could plan as to whether I wanted dessert or not. Although she understood, it took a day or so for her assistants to catch on. A few times everyone was finished and they hadn't taken the plates away...I figured they may be waiting on me. When I motioned to him I was finished, he took the plate away and brought the next course. The next night he knew to go ahead and take my plate when I laid my sliverware down on it.
I did very well and lost a pound on the cruise. Not my normal loss for a week post op, but DEFINITELY not my normal for being on a cruise. First time I've ever lost weight.
