They sell Powerade at the bars and coffee shop.
..and at the gangway leaving the ship at port.
-
We have cruised both, and if I would have to choose between the two. I would pick the Breeze. However, you will have a great time on any ship you choose. If you go with the Dream, you will have a great time in New Orleans.

Most of the food items were available during the 70s and 80s.
Cut backs.
The junk food you can eat every day, why on a cruise.
Including pizza and wings.
Some people don't eat junk food all the time and enjoy it on vacation. Plus it taste good with beer! :D

Shelled peanuts at the bars, potato chips at the deli, cotton candy at dive in movies, snow cone machine on the lido.

I agree, cool bar. However, I wonder why it wasn't included in the Dream Class?

We turn Platinum on the last day of our next 7-day cruise. I called Carnival and they told me, we wouldn't turn Platinum on this cruise. Bummer! I just checked our luggage tags and they say Priority. Thanks for the info everyone.

On John Heald's CD schedule there is a TBA for December. We are on the January 3 Dream
I saw Hennie during our May 3-10 debarkation and asked if he just arrived on the ship. He said yes, and I asked him if he would be the CD for our Nov 22nd sailing and he said he would be back on vacation at that time.

We had an Interior and it never really cooled off the entire cruise, I'm sure your balcony cabin will be fine.

We're sailing her on July 18 with our 3 teen grandkids.
I've been reading some horror stories about embarkation, long waits for my time dining, pretty much overcrowding everywhere. I'm sure our sailing will be mobbed with families such as ours (yes, we are part of the problem, lol).
We were on this cruise last year and our cabin was on the Lido deck. Crowds will be everywhere, however it's some teens that don't play by the rules. What I have noticed blocks of teens staying in areas with no supervision from their parents. Chatter in the halls at 3:00am. Security will find them and locate their parents, but it might take two or three days for this to happen. Have fun and good luck, because some people really don't care about others because it's their vacation. Tip: Request a fan as soon as you board the ship.

We sailed on Dream May 3 - 10 and the CD was Chloe Loddo. She was really good at getting people involved and we saw her often around the ship. Her name does not appear on the CD list so she may have just been filling in for someone else.
We were on that cruise too. Really enjoyed her style of entertainment all week.

Are any of the "deals" actually deals? I am referring to shops on the ship, the duty free shops outside the ship, and the shops right off the pier in Cozumel? I am always curious if anything is worth buying.
On my last cruise, I picked up 2-liters of Absolut Vodka for $30 dollars in the funshop. A fifth in my hometown is $20 bucks.

I don't really think you can compare a Fantasy class vs. Dream class. The two ships were built years apart. We enjoy both ships, because we know what to expect from each one.

We have an interior on the Carnival Dream June of next year on the Lido deck. Has anyone ever had a cabin on this deck that maybe able to let me know the pros and cons if there are any. We may switch to a balcony down the road if they have a great sale as it gets closer, but as of now they only have 12 balcony's left on the lido deck for that cruise.
Thanks in advance.
I really can't think of any cons. We think it's the best area on the ship to have a cabin.

Salmonella? E-coli? Food poisoning?
I never got sick from Mayo that was never chilled in the first place.
-
Just a note about the BBQ - the condiments for the burgers and dogs sit out for hours in the sun, unrefrigerated. This includes the mayo! We avoided the condiments - no need to get sick on vacation!
Otherwise, the BBQ smoke is annoying, but you can go back inside or to another area once you have your food.
What if the condiments were never friderated. What would be the problem?

I know when we in Coz last, we walked past a drug store that offered up what are normally prescription pain pills with no prescription. I was *seriously* tempted, I tell ya. Not because I'm an addict, but I deal with chronic pain in my hips/ankles/feet.
I deal with chronic back & neck pain. Next time you go just bring your RX bottles and fill them up. Works every time.

The brunch looks and sounds good. After doing some research, I think what I was looking for was information on the Oceanside BBQ, which is on the Lanai. Just wondering if it was on the smoking or non-smoking side of the Lanai....
Non-smoking side, however the smoke from the BBQ is quite annoying..lol

Here's the two kinds of wings - Ours were rather small, tough, and dry. The buffalo style (they look about the same) does not qualify as "buffalo" IMHO - virtually undetectable heat and little flavor.
As I mentioned previously, there were no drumettes... probably saved them a little ($) that way.
Tom
Those wings look horrible! Thanks for sharing.

I wonder if Carnival could have hooked up to shore power while they resolved this issue?
-
I searched the threads, couldn't find the answer. What are the table sizes in the MDR? 4 top, 6 top? I'm pretty sure the largest is a 10 top. Thanks!
You search for a thread, to a question that has been asked 15 million times? I don't believe you. Just kidding!

I can't think of a better place for this to happen, if I was on board!! Keep the party going at Fat Tuesday!
For real!

I looked on the ports web cam and you can see the ship. Am concerned as she's with 5 other girlfriends. Hope Carnival takes care of all their passengers and makes sure they're safe whether on shore or on board.
How do they control what happens to the passengers in port?

Please convince me why my interior room on lido deck will be just fine!! The thought of upgrading to a balcony keeps happening but I realllllllly don't want to spend the money. Soon my interior will be JUST fine, RIGHT?!
If you're going to do an interior cabin, in my opinion the Lido is the best deck. You have a pool, entertainment & food steps from your cabin door.
Snack food you would like to see?

Yes, has been that way for a long time. Potato chips at the deli would be a good start. Plus the Soft Pretzel would be a great add.
