Love On Tour just posted this video of the 3 levels of the MDR. He comments that tonight is a formal night. I think they are in Athens today, so that’s interesting that formal night isn’t on a sea day.

Clearly, I am not Dides, but I am booked in a D1 premium balcony deluxe (12320) for the 3/9 sailing and was curious myself. I called my TA and they contacted Princess who said, NO benefits for D categories, they start at S. If it sounds to good to be true…. I know, sad news for me too.

Can someone on board please tell us how the temperature is on board? It’s going to be in the 60’s as a high next week, so I was not planning on taking shorts. If the boat is warm, I will revisit that plan. TIA!

For those worried about the Sanctuary, this is a good YouTube video showing nice padded chairs with sea views. Weather not going to be good for getting sun next week so I personally have no interest, especially not at $99 pp.

Wondering if this is why I got a move over offer. I’m in 12320, a floor above the crime scene.

Very generous offer. I would get about $7k free cruise given my premium pkg and upgrade from a premium deluxe balcony. I’m seriously considering it given how the theater isn’t even running yet.

I think my D1 is uncovered. 12320. However, across from laundry and close to stairs which can be noisy, while convenient.

Can someone confirm cabin category please? This looks dreadful and I am really hoping it isn’t the category I just won an upgrade bid for. I would rather save the money and go back to premium ocean view near the spa to use my thermal suite pass.

Just got an upgrade from ocean view to premium deluxe balcony for $215 pp on the 2nd sailing, 3/9. I was assigned a midship on deck 12. So many cabin posts, was this a score? Do I get sig benefits?

I agree! I said goodbye to AT&T over 20 years ago and I have been just fine with Verizon. Tried many banks over the years and landed with Chase. Been with them too for well over 20 years. You and several others here think brand image doesn’t mean anything in a competitive industry. That’s what’s naive! It violates a basic economic tenent.

A flight cancellation is not apples-to-apples. Most major carriers are responsible for putting you on an alternative flight, even on another carrier, within a period of time. That’s not how it works here. Princess cancels and you are SOL! Let’s not even get into compensation for lost time trying to manage through this. Time is money. What’s your time worth? I’ve already lost thousands:(

Some people think a company can get away with anything and that competition is not enough to drive change. Remember MCI Worldcomm, AIG, Lehman Bros? All too big to ever fail until mismanagement sunk the ship, pun intended! Somehow other companies survived.

Agreed! I wonder how many cheerleaders would be so positive if it had happened to them 🧐 Princess probably will survive, but without me and I’m sure quite a few others. Meanwhile, companies that do business the better way will be able to charge more rather than offering promos to book sailings. The back-and-forth bickering on here is beyond old and I am stepping away from this sort of banter going forward. Maybe we can all start sharing info for people who have an upcoming sailing to stay informed?

I may still be sailing on March 9, but I am starting to prepare for a cancellation. Unfortunately, there are not many options to salvage a cruise on such short order. I may just do a land-based vacation, but this itinerary was taking me to interesting places on my bucket list that I don’t want to visit for more than a day. Oh well! I also have some arranged tours. I think most I can cancel (if needed) but there may be one or two I can’t. I will call my credit card company as there is some travel insurance included with card purchases. I’m not sure what is covered, but it’s worth looking into not just for tours, but all travel Princess will not reimburse for. Check your credit card insurance to see what’s covered everyone. Just a thought.

Thanks for the lecture lady! Not that it’s any of your business, but I have been on plenty of both. I expected a few minor inconveniences and hiccups, hence the attractive rate I received, but not a cancellation on her 4th voyage. While that hasn’t happened yet, it certainly seems a real possibility. I’m sure you’ll have a witty reply in defense of Princess. In the meantime, I just booked Celebrity Apex for later this year. John Padgett should be FIRED!!! No way to run a company, unless your mission is to destroy brand! After this paid cruise on 3/9, should I be privileged enough to sail on her, I will NEVER sail on Princess again. Vacation is supposed to bring stress relief and that’s why we pay good money for it. Maybe I missed something in the small print.

That’s what I’m dealing with, yes. No resolution yet. It was going to be a Valentine’s gift. Oh well!
