  1. We have found in the buffet they have it around the section that serves the fresh fruit. My husband typically asks the crew member by the coffee/drink station and the often will go get it for him.
  2. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
  3. Ok…gonna chime in. I grew up in the 70s with the greats like Led Zepplin, Pink Floyd, YES, The Who, Queen, Johnny and Edgar Winter, Deep Purple, late Beatles, Wings, Elton John, The Steve Miller Band…and more and more. The early 80s had many greats, as well. But, I can pour a glass of wine and twirl around the room to tunes sung by Sinatra and Tony Bennett and feel like this was my generation. And…put this on the turntable, and I become an elementary school girl peeking out my bedroom door to the party where the women drank whiskey sours. That artist is:: Marty Robbins, Gunfighter Ballards. Ok, now you know I’m old…😂
  4. Those brave souls setting out with the hopes of making it to the US. I hope they are not from Cuba, as I believe they will be sent back to their Motherland. Prayers for those who have been rescued 🙏🏻. Please do not interpret this post as an affirmative vote for open borders.
  5. I suspect this rule is to keep parents aware of and in control of just how many Frappuccinos a 12 year old can consume in one day. Really not a bad rule if you ask me.
  6. I think you will find that if you were to sail the same MSC ship this year, you would be surprised how much they skinned-down their evening menus…especially on US sailings.
  7. You would think that NCL would have enough historical data to know the booking trends, and not have to cancel itineraries after they started selling them. Geesh.
  8. Earlier this month I canceled a cruise for next November. I was told my down payment would refunded to my credit card. It has been a couple weeks and no sign of the refund. Any insights on how long it takes MSC to refund?
  9. There is likely some truth in that “proclamation”. Port Canaveral and NOLA are popular and easy to access ports. Still, I’m lovin the fact they abandoned the longer European itineraries.
  10. According to the terms I read, It is my understanding that when you book 9+ months in advance you will get the $50 pp credit. And, it may need to be one of their designated cruises, Voyager Exclusives. Less than that you only get whatever promotional OB credit at the time of booking.
  11. I’m pretty good at leaving it in the slot machine myself. However, the last few cruises it was a tap method vs insert. Def helps with leaving it behind.
  12. I think you can order it without the caramel and butterscotch.
  13. Perhaps, but in this particular case, these extra points have an associated value of >$150 based on the two Specialty Dining vouchers for Platinum members.
  14. Perhaps those 10+ night European cruises they planned to attract the more sophisticated cruiser isn’t quite working as expected.
  15. That’s ok…extra piece for @hallux 😁
  16. Thanks for the response. If you like cheesecake…get the OMG Butterscotch Cheesecake…it’s soooo good.
  17. You seem like a thoughtful husband making sure your anniversary is extra special. Wishing you both a wonderful cruise celebration. Nice to get out of Minnesota this time of year!
  18. Lol…I like to be able to pull out my card whenever “I” want to. If I want that macaron even though we just finished dinner and dessert, by golly, my card is coming out! No guilt😁
  19. Onboard I wear a small crossbody bag just big enough to carry some tip $$, my phone for pics and my key card (and a pen, too). DH will carry a credit card wallet. On excursions, everything changes based on the activity. Just do what is safest for you.
  20. It makes sense that the hybrid menus are likely the new menus for 2024 forward. I noticed that NCL typically introduces their changes (food, entertainment, service) in mid-January each year. What did you think of the new menus? Choice, quality, taste?
  21. With 3 people in the cabin be careful on what kind of cabin you book originally so you have the right option to upgrade. For example, if you book a O4, you will want to make sure there will be B4 cabins available to upgrade. From what I’ve read here, you can’t go from a O4 to a BB or BA. Also, on Epic, you must use 60K points to upgrade from inside to balcony since there are no ocean view cabins.
  22. Oh my. I cannot wait to be up close to this natural beauty. We did book the excursion yesterday (and I got to keep my drink package 😁). I’ll be following along on your B2B adventures in April/May. Thanks for all your posts…funny, informative, and creative!
  23. You are certainly a far more experienced AK trekker (oh yeah and baker) than I realized. How awesome you’ve done this when you are physically able. Lol, even at my most fit, my “adventure” vacation begins and ends each day in a room with a comfy mattress! Re: the ice carving, I would live to see that. We did see the 400th Year Celebration in Quebec where they featured a snow carving exhibition.
  24. You will just have to continue to bake the biscuits and bagels. 😂 In all seriousness, I think AK deserves both a cruise and an “uncruise”.I don’t believe the coastal cities of AK are easily done without a cruise. Even after our upcoming cruise, I still have staying in an igloo and seeing the Northern Lights on my bucket list. Edit: so is Uncruise an actual thing?? I need to Google. Even so…AK deserves a by land and by sea visit.
  25. I understand what you’re saying, and we do, at times, book our own excursions. I did look at a couple similar to what we want to do in AK and the savings weren’t significant enough to book. Perhaps I paid for my laziness this cruise. 🤷‍♀️
