  1. That seems to be the status quo with Moderna these days. Which is really too bad as it was once one of our favorites. I miss the skewers of lamb chops, the fat juicy sausages, and a good cut of filet being offered so often you had meat overload by the end of the meal. Now all you hear about is the salad bar…what a shame. I really enjoyed your review. Thanks for risking the time to share with the rest of us stuck in the winter ho-hums.
  2. Beats me. But I was also worried by the smaller children (who were potty trained) climbing up the pool side at the infinity edge. That glass isn’t very tall.
  3. @graphicguy so sorry for your injury due to NCL negligence. I feel your embarrassment and pain. On our last cruise I had a similar incident in Cagney’s going between the “wet, cleaned that day” carpet to the hard surface by the bar. An NCL person finally showed up and said I should go to medical (which I didn’t). In a not so kind voice I told them to get me a darn napkin and a bandaid. They did finally get me a bandaid and I never saw them again. Two nights later security tracked me down and asked for a statement and to sign their form. I told them I believed the wet carpet in Cagney’s was to blame…the security lady said, ok if you need to go to medical, please do. Funny, she was no longer interested in writing my statement nor getting my signature. Hmmm…probably shouldn’t document that liability! Wishing you a quick recovery!!
  4. On our cruise this was the go to for parents with small children and toddlers. No thanks!
  5. Not a TA. When i look at my reference, it doesn’t even show your date as availability to book (it doesn’t book suite or Haven). When I look at NCL site, there is no availability unless you want to book Suite @ $11K+. Which suggests that this cruise availability is now under control of the company that does the bidding process. Good luck…regardless of what cabin you get…get ready for an amazing cruise. Jealous…you have an amazing itinerary.
  6. I lean towards CF these days since I buy them when they are $250/$500…and I know I will be booking a cruise in the near future (120+ days). We have successfully “repriced” a cruise with CF certs…we have not done a cancel/rebook. As long as the Booking Number stays the same, your CF does not drop in value.
  7. @PistolPete13 IIRC it is on Port side entrance of the Observation Lounge. (But then again, I may have it confused with The Bliss). 🤷‍♀️
  8. Yes your calculations get you there…congrats! If your #3 is the little person in your photo, you would be good with a BA for sure. You may want to do a mock booking for a OA cabin for 3 pp and see if it costs more/less and go from there. Best!
  9. So the site I referenced shows 20 open B4 cabins (out of ~50) and 100+ BA cabins (out of ~250). Did you book a B4 because you need a family cabin? If not, it may be less expensive for you to switch to an OA now and then upgrade to a BA. Either way, I believe by the time your points post there will be cabins available for you. I also assume that you have spent enough to close the point gap from 25K bonus to 30k. BA cabins can sleep 3. also if you decide to switch to OA now, either call your NCL consultant or the NCL customer service number.
  10. They do use a company who handles the bidding process. You will receive an email 90-120 days before your sail date inviting you to bid. You can also go into your app, select room upgrade and add the relevant info. You will see the upgrade options available for you and the bid range. You will be notified if your bid was accepted typically the week of sailing up to day of sail. You will hear nothing if your bid is not accepted…but you can look at you bid and see if it is still pending.
  11. What ship and dates are you looking at? I have a website that shows more inventory than what you can see on NCL site (which shows 15 at a time).
  12. Yes sad. It breaks my heart to see people that wasted and so clueless. Love seeing all the pics. Missing Prima, again.
  13. You are in a Family Oceanview O4. You will be able to upgrade to B4 which is a Family Balcony. And, as stated, your points will post once your statement closes. I call the World Points 800 number and the rep will guide you on which cabins are available. 866-954-4077
  14. Please report back. My under is that it added st the end of the cruise…before disembarking. So you should have at least s $50 per eligible person in charges to get full advantage.
  15. And, that my friend, suggests that all of the unrelated nonsensical posts/pages demonstrates how engaging NCL’s “BIG” Announcement actually is. Best said…Non-.
  16. You too!?! I think I’m almost there…🤷‍♀️ 🐀🐀🐀🐀🐀+🐀
  17. Nice selection of future cruises, among other things 😉.
  18. Well, truth be told, I have not been formally initiated…yet. But I’m confident that @ChiefMateJRK and/or @HBCcruiser will handle that with time.
  19. @HBCcruiser. Thanks! Lol…I believe I watched season 1…and haven’t been back. Don’t know why. But…I’m now going on record. Poor Things…well, that is an “interesting” story.
  20. Well, okay…I’m lost!! Guess I’m outta the “pack” ☹️
  21. Well that explains why the Hot Fudge Sundae disappeared from the main OS and Local menus.
  22. Thank you for sharing. It hurts my heart to know that people go to such extremes to escape their reality. I honestly can’t imagine. ❤️🙏🏻
  23. I love to cruise, and will readily jump to any cruise line if the itinerary and cost fit my needs. We are Platinum on NCL, but the price tag keeps going up. This is what drove us to trial another cruise line. We chose MSC. We did a 4 day trial last summer and have since booked two other MSC cruises. We are doing a quick 3-day in February, then 7-nighter out of Barcelona in the fall. While we prefer NCL food and freestyle dining, it is not a major consideration when booking. Now, to answer your last question…if the price is right, I would recommend NCL out of Port Canaveral or Miami on one of their Breakaway class ships.
