I have tried this and when I click on the "web version" link it takes me to a differet, booked cruise.

Is there a way to "exit this booking" on that page?  If so, try that.  Then, if there is a way to go to your profile, it will show all of the cruises that you have booked.  Select the one you want, and continue.  If that doesn't work, I'm afraid I have no other suggestions...  you'll be forced to contact Princess customer service.

  2. You can also use the web-based version of the app.  Just log in to Princess.com, select check-in, and it will tell you to use the app.  But, in small print, they provide the link to the web version...

I realize the boarding pass is seldom even viewed when boarding.  But in our new app, it states that the boarding pass will appear 11 days prior to sailing.  We are just within nine days prior.  We are in the green lane with our medallions to be delivered today.  The old app has been displaying boarding passes for two days.  Is it just me or do the passes not show up in the new one?  If they show up, where in the new app do they appear.

When you open up the app, scroll right and there is a tab in the middle for "boarding pass".  Click on that.  Should work...

  4. Just another thread on this well-worn topic, but hopefully this will help some folks...

    Questions about medallions:

    1. How do I order?

    2. When do I order?

    3.  How much does it cost?

    4.  When are they shipped?

    5. How long does shipping take?

    6.  When do I receive a digital boarding pass/barcode?

    Here we go...

    1.  Order the medallions on the Princess app.  I do it as part of the check-in process, so I don't forget.

    2.  I'm not certain of this, but I've heard that you need to place the order no less than 30 days from embarkation.  It may be slightly less.

    3.  It costs $10 in the US to have them shipped; not sure about Canada.  I do not believe they ship internationally beyond Canada yet.  This fee is waived if you have the Plus or Premier package.

    4.  This will vary slightly, but approximately 15 to 20 days prior to embarkation, you will receive an email from "notifications@ocean.com" telling you that your shipment is on its way.  Check your spam folders, because that's where mine always ends up.  In that email, they give you the tracking number.  Another poster here turned me on to a great website to track your medallions through their journey to you.  Go to "www.parcelsapp.com" and enter the tracking number, and you will see every single movement the package makes!

    5.  Again, this will vary depending on your itinerary and your mailing address. In my case, I received the first email 18 days out; the medallions arrived 5 days later.  I live in Arizona, and my trip leaves from Galveston.  The medallions were shipped from China to Carson, California by a third party service; then they were turned over to the US Postal Service and delivered by mail.

    6.  Approximately 11 days prior to embarkation, you will see a boarding barcode appear on the Princess app.  Sometimes the staff at the port will ask to see that.  Other times, just show them your medallion.  In either case, I don't believe the barcode is necessary or even used anymore (since we no longer have assigned boarding times).

Hope this helps - I know Princess doesn't communicate this process, and new travelers have to wing it...

  5. I'll be interested to learn when you are officially in international waters and your drink package kicks in.  If you leave at 3:00, my guess would be around 5:00.  Please let us know.  Thanks and bon voyage...

  6. Other than Tito's (my favorite vodka), I'm not sure about top-shelf brands to recommend.  I agree that it makes financial sense to buy the package (tips, multi-device wi-fi, etc.).  I'm not a big drinker, either, but I use these cruises as a time to experiment.  I try drinks that I've never had before but am curious about.  That way I don't feel guilty if I take a sip and leave the rest.  I also have port wine with cheese for dessert (don't normally do) or get dessert drinks (also out of the norm).  Just my two cents worth...

  7. I don't know if Sanctuary is for adults only, but there is a charge to use it (sorry, I don't know how much).  The Retreat area is just outside the Sanctuary, and that is a free adults-only area and pool.  Hope that helps a little...

  8. I understand that the state of Texas prohibits the sale of non-Texan alcohol while the ship is docked.  OK; whatever.  Politics.  I can handle it.  I've also seen the current menu for drinks offered prior to entering international waters.  Again, OK.  I can handle it - particularly if Princess gives me $25 OBC. It's certainly not bad enough to ruin a good vacation!

My question is whether the concierge lounge for suite guests abides by the same ruling.  They usually offer champagne upon boarding; I'd really hate to miss that!  And, no, I'm not a problem drinker... LOL.

Thanks in advance for your help.

We have stayed in both a mini-suite on Princess and a PH on Oceania and there is a big difference between the rooms.....PH is much larger, much nicer bathrooms, much nicer sitting area and it comes with a butler who will take care of your wishes/needs.  This includes but not limited to having the butler serve/deliver meals from any restaurant (including the specialty restaurants) for any meal.  They also bring afternoon canapé and will have your choice of drink ready for you to enjoy (including from your personal stock of wine or liquor).   There is a HUGE difference....mini suite 299 sq ft (including 44 sq ft balcony), PH -440 sq ft (including 60 sq ft balcony).  You also have 3 bags of complimentary laundry, Unlimited access to Aquamar Spa Terrace, welcome bottle of champagne, use of the executive lounge (on larger ships).  All of this comes with the penthouse suite and does not depend upon loyalty level.  I suggest you go check out a few YouTubes to see the difference.  You will not be disappointed,

Thanks for clarifying…. I’m sure I’ll enjoy it.

The PH is really a fairly small suite when you add the balcony. 440 Sq. ft. is pretty small as suites go.You also only have the "stocked bar" in the 3 larger suites. The only real amenity you have is more room(subjective) & butler service. Otherwise it's really closer to a Concierge cabin in amenities.

I guess it is similar to a mini-suite on Princess.  Lesson learned for next time…

Only the three larger than PH suite categories (Oceania, Vista, Owners) have a stocked custom selected bar.

Thank you!  So, I guess I’ll need to bring some stash on board with me.  Or purchase a beverage package…

That was why I mentioned that the amenities you received on Princess were not the norm and it is the same on Oceania, if you are in a full suite or high level loyalty member you receive the same upgraded perks.  And since you are Elite on Princess and a full suite passenger you received those amenities and will when you have the same on O you will too...

Is a PH suite considered a full suite on Oceania?  Are you saying I will have a minibar with booze in that level suite on Oceania?  Another person replied that only sodas are provided; no alcohol.  Thanks - sorry for the confusion.

  13. 8 minutes ago, basor said:

That is the set up for Elite loyalty members no matter what level cabin you occupy.  That is not an amenity for everyone unless you are in a top suite (not a mini suite) on Princess.

    Elite Membership Benefits

Enjoy a complimentary mini-bar set up

Not really relevant...  my question is about Oceania suites.  But, FWIW, I am Elite and am a full suite passenger on Princess.

  14. I don't mean to hijack the thread, but my question is along the same lines...  I am a Princess cruiser taking my first Oceania cruise in June.

Are there mini-bars in the cabins?  I'll be in a PH1 suite.  And, if so, are they pre-stocked (for free)?  How many mini-bottles and what are they?  Is there a fridge and, if so, what is in it?  On Princess, they have both a fridge and a mini--bar with about a dozen small bottles of booze.  Beer is in the fridge (along with sodas, mixers).  You can swap them out if you want (in various combinations).  Just wondering if Oceania has something similar.

    Thanks in advance...

  15. Thanks for the comments...  I think it could be a valid complaint about the Discovery (and, yes, I did mention it in my post-cruise survey).  I've been on 24 Princess cruises, and these 2 trips on Discovery were the only time I experienced such discomfort.  My next two are scheduled on Regal and Majestic - fingers crossed things will be better.  Thanks also to the poster who suggested telling the room steward to add a topper; I'll keep that in mind in case I run into it again!

  16. All, I have a question - and I'm being serious here - not trying to be snarky...

Several years ago, I took a Princess cruise and fell in love with their mattresses.  They were called Princess Luxury Bed Mattresses, and they were available for purchase online.  I loved it so much, I ordered one for my home.  The website is still live, and they sell them with Princess branding still in place.

Flash forward in time to post-COVID travel... In 2023, I completed 2 trips on Princess (in aft suites on Discovery; 2 different cabins).  The dang bed was so hard, I actually got a bruise on my hip!  Does anybody know what happened to the good mattresses?????

Again - I'm not being snarky - I really do want to know if anyone can tell me why they took the good mattresses away...

    Thanks in advance.

  17. I just sailed on the Discovery, and the bartenders and wait staff were far and few between.  I regularly waited up to 30 minutes to get a drink during Happy Hour times; dinners took over 2 hours every night.  I felt so bad for the staff - they were working their butts off; just weren't enough of them to support the 3800 passengers.
