  1. Why did they stop doing the cooking classes?
  2. Anybody know what the "Game Time!" event is about?
  3. Let's see Sunrise Stretch - I have no idea. Is it free? Abs Class - Again no idea. "Game Time!" - I have no idea what this is. board games? video games? drinking games? Total Body Conditioning - another fitness event. no idea if it costs money because there is no indication Health Seminar Burn Fat Faster - I'm guessing seminar is free.
  4. It's kind of annoying. How does the cruise line expect people to know whether it costs money or not if it's not explicitly written on the program?
  5. "Bon Voyage Party: Specialty drinks and dutch appetizer" "Bon Voyage Photo Opportunity" - what is this and does it cost money? "Have your casual portrait taken" "Footprint and Posture Analysis"
  6. On the Daily Program, how do you know which events cost an extra fee and which events are free?
  7. What do you mean by invitation? Like they send a invitation card to your room for the event? or the server just asks you if you want a drink? What is "when and where"? I heard that there are several events that give out free drinks. Which events are these on HAL cruises?
  8. If you're at some event and they are giving out snacks or drinks, how do you know if they charge or if it's free?
  9. But I don't see anything scheduled from Princess, HAL, NCL after Spring 2023. So will those lines come back to SD for future cruises?
  10. I see. I live in SD so this is just an easy place for me to board cruises without having to book flights. I already booked a cruise with HAL, but I'm having a little bit of regret because they seem to be commonly available in SD. I wish I had booked with Princess instead, because they might not be around in the future.
  11. I mean maybe not near the the inner city, but somewhere in a peaceful family neighborhood. It would just look like somebody parking their car in front of their own house.
  12. Couldn't you also just park in some random neighborhood and catch a Uber to the cruise terminal?
  13. Well as Firsttimer said, the Veal Ragout Kroket in MDR lunch is the same item as Bitterballen.
  14. Also, the MDR lunch has a Veal Kroket sandwich, and the Dutch Cafe has a Veal Ragout Kroket. Are those 2 items actually the same dish?
  15. Ok, I added a credit card. Also, where do I upload my proof of vaccination?
  16. I started the process of checking in online, and under "account", it says that I have to bring $420 in cash to the front desk within 24 hours of boarding. What does this mean? Why in the world do I need to bring $420 to the front desk?
  17. The MDR lunch as a "Veal Kroket". Is that the same thing as these 2 Bitterballen and Kroketten?
  18. But in the MDR, do they kick you out of the room at 1pm? or do they just stop taking seats at 1pm? Can you come in at 12:45 and start ordering?
  19. The MDR lunch says 11;30 to 1pm. Does that mean you need to finish eating by 1pm, or 1pm is last time to get seated? What was the MDR lunch menu like before covid?
  20. Hi, I am totally new to the cruise scene. I want to ask, which cruise lines are annual fixtures who have more or less a permanent base out of San Diego? For 2022, I see HAL, Princess, and a few Norwegian cruises. But I'm not sure if they will be in San Diego every year.
  21. Me: Peanut Butter Pie Key Lime Pie Bread Pudding Pea Soup Bitterballen French Onion Soup
  22. No sugar added, really!? I just can't imagine how that could taste good. But if several of you insist on it, maybe I should try it. I recently bought some "Keto" peanut butter cups at Costco thinking that you can't mess up a peanut butter cup, but actually it tastes awful to me. Almost like medicine.
  23. Cool, I will definitely try this Bitterballen and the pea soup on the Dutch Cafe.
