We regularly check our bill using the app throughout the cruise.  So easy!  Beats schlepping down to guest services and/or using the kiosk.  On our most recent cruise I took screenshots of the bills on the final morning before we disembarked, and they matched the bills we received by email shortly after.

Exactly! I check daily. You never know. I’ve found random bar tabs and purchases from the shops.

  2. You can check your bill on the Princess app. I check it everyday to make sure there are no mistakes. The worst thing is finding a charge you didn’t make on the last day of the cruise and you have to wait in the long line.

  3. Good Morning All!

I have never sailed on MSC before but I have been curious about them for a long time. I have over 10 cruises with Princess and another 4 with RC and Norwegian. My family and I have a Princess cruise booked for summer 2024 but I want something in between now and then.

I asked my travel agent to look at MSC but she keeps trying to talk me out of it. She keeps telling me that MSC isn’t good and the food is terrible. She also mentioned that everything is an “add-on”. I have my doubts about the information I am getting from her so I figured I would come to the source and get an honest review from you guys.

I will be traveling with my two kids ages 5 & 12. What is everyone’s opinion on MSC? Any information would be greatly appreciated!

    thanks!

We have not been on a cruise for many years but we are takiing a Emerald Princess cruise in May, my question, is it absolutely required to wear a suit or sportcoat on formal nights?  I ask because we flying internationality and it is such a pain to pack and carry a suit.  What is the percentage of people in your estimate who go to a formal night without wearing a suit?

I just got back yesterday from a Princess cruise and the dress code is not as strict as it was years ago. Most people I saw were wearing a nice pair of dress shorts and a button down.

I have so many but it would be my first 16 day RT from Los Angeles to Hawaii with my dad before he passed. We had done many cruises together but this one was very special and lots of fun and I’m so thankful I got to do this one with him.

My second one was my first solo cruise last November. I had the best time!

    What was yours?

Has to be the Xmas/NYE cruise on the Grand Princess in 2008. It was just such a special experience. The ship sailed to Hawaii so every port was incredible and just so many memories.
It was between this one and my kids first cruise this past summer. They had a blast.

  7. This is something I thought would be pretty fun. What was your most memorable cruise? I know it’s hard to narrow down to just one but I figured we could give this a try. It could be memorable for any reason such as an island you visited, last cruise with a loved one before they passed, first cruise etc….

Even though I wasn't there and have no idea what her thoughts on the matter are, I'm going to answer for @Sunshine3601. It more like 40,000.  😄

I'm no kid hater, but 30% capacity being kids?  Yikes!  I'll wait until school gets back in session.

I just got off on Sunday and there weren’t many kids at all. I imagine in the coming weeks there will be less and less.

Yeah I haven't really been impressed with the buffet.  Breakfast wasn't an issue bc I'm up fairly early, before the crowds.  But lunch time, there didn't seem to be any "slower" times.  Spent 20 minutes in line, then kept having people push in front of me at the actual buffets, for food that really wasn't worth it.

When your in port the buffet lines will be much shorter, it’s the sea days which are a disaster. Towards the end we just wound up grabbing some pizza on deck 5 and going to the MDR for dinner.

PS: Loving the updates, keep ‘em coming

  10. I just got off yesterday. The ship is absolutely beautiful. There were a few disappointments I do have to say though…

    1) The food in the dining room was very good however the Buffett food was nothing more than reheated TV dinners and it was the same food all 7 days (mostly burgers, hotdogs and rice)

    2) The lines entering the Buffett were crazy at times where we would have to wait upwards of 15-20 minutes to be let in.

We still have to test for RC leaving Saturday. Based on recommendations from this board, we ordered test kits from Rapidtestandtrace two weeks ago.  When they didn’t arrive after the promised 6 biz days we tried to contact them. There is no number on the website. The live chat doesn’t work.  No one has returned our messages.  I’m afraid it’s too late to order tests from another company and I don’t want to spend a hundreds times 3 people for Walgreens or CVS.  Any ideas??

Can you not go to an urgent care?
