It’s just so frustrating that RCI doesn’t seem to want or be interested in helping the customer with booking with them. The website is not customer friendly and must put so many people off.
Personally having booked with 3rd party vs rci direct I will ALWAYS want to book direct if possible - unless the savings are too much to ignore. Having been on too many cruises where I have needed to change things after initial booking and not being able to talk to rci direct has caused us sooo many problems.

I tried to price up a cruise on the UK site earlier and was nowhere for me to add my C&A to show my diamond plus balcony discount.
You have to go all the way through to booking - putting in names etc and there is an option there to add C&A number. Bit of a faff just to get a price.

Not booked through RCI for a while but just pricing up a couple of cruises and I can see the website has changed. Nothing wrong with that but it seems you can no longer add flights or hotels. This was such a useful tool as sometimes the 'package' had really good flight deals so made it a better deal than booking DIY. Is the only way now to phone up or am I missing something?

Can I ask if there is any difficulty getting the reservations you want when boarding. We are sailing Ovation (not until next year) and we have 6 sea days. I am thinking this would be great but as Ovation hasn't got a huge amount of dining options, is it difficult to get all the reservations you want?

I am sailing in exactly a week and mine is still pending [emoji849]

If this is the 8th oct sailing from HK then we are also on this sailing. Not sure where I heard it from but I have a feeling that boarding is not until around 5pm. As another poster has mentioned, the previous sailing does not terminate in HK and has to get all pax to disembark before heading to HK.

After reading that the Diamond lounge on Voyager would not be open for our sailing (8th Oct - Hong Kong to Singapore) on the spreadsheet...
The Diamond Lounge will not be open for all Asian sailing ships until it arrives in Sydney again in summer (November 2017)
I emailed RCI for clarification and they gave confirmed it will be open for our sailing [emoji1303][emoji1]

Thanks for all the replies. I emailed RCI and got a number to call which is their Visa specialist. As we will not be leaving Vietnamese waters between the 3 ports of call then we will not need a visa.

I am trying to find out definitively if we need a visa for Vietnam. We are sailing RCI Voyager and are stopping at 3 different ports in Vietnam. From what I can gather reading on trip advisor and gov websites is that we don't but I have asked RCI and they have put me in touch with http://www.visacentral.co.uk/royalcaribbean who say we 'may'!!! Not really happy with this response tbh so can anyone on here advise?

I have just seen on the master spreadsheet that the diamond lounge will be closed on all Asia sailings on Voyager. We are sailing Hk to Singapore in October and are very disappointed to read this. Does anyone know why and what will be provided in its place.

Thanks Leigh x
I find it really frustrating that the pricing on RCI is so 'fluid' and ships have different pricing structures...

Thanks Jonathan.... we have had the package on various cruises up to now, so was just wondering if the limit was $12 or $13. I know some ships also have different bar menus.... so was just wondering what it was on voyager?

There seems to be so little info available on voyager... does anyone have a current list of bar prices? Prices seem to vary shop by ship so was hoping someone might have up to date info. Also, we have pre purchased the drinks package - anyone know what the limit is on voyager?

We are sailing RCI Voyager of the Seas later this year, and as there are 6 of us, we are hoping to book some independent tours rather than having to book via the cruise line. I know that the posts are quite far away from the main points of interest, but can anyone recommend any tour guides / operators and places / things to do for the following:
Kaohsiung, Taiwan
Nha Trang, Vietnam
Hue_Danang (Chan May)
Ho Chi Minh (Phu My), Vietnam
Thanks in advance

We have booked this for October and was wondering if anyone else had done this and what they thought.
Also, wondering if anyone knows what time we will need to be onboard for set sail. We are hoping to do a few things in Hong Kong on the day of departure and since we are not sailing until 11pm we were hoping it was going to be quite late.

We are sailing Voyager in oct - Hong Kong to Singapore and the deluxe package is only £31 + 18 % gratuity. And that is without any 'so called' discount.

We have found that the best way to understand a culture is though food. We did food tours in Da Nang and Saigon. If interested let me know I'll send our guile info upon request,
Happy Planning,Capt. Ron

There doesn't seem to be a great deal of info on VOTS - I guess this is because of the recent Australian itineraries.
We have just booked for oct and looking for any insider info. I know it went into dry dock a few years back and had a few enhancements....
Reviews seem to be either really good or really bad!!!!

Thanks glittergal- although I think a week is a bit too long to wait for a reply. Why they can't just have an 0800 number for U.K. Is beyond me!!!!!

Ovation - ultimate drinks package and drinks limit
in Royal Caribbean International
Posted · Edited by 38anchor
Sailing out of Hawaii in May on Ovation and really excited. We have sailed quite a few RCI ships over the years and tend to always get the Ultimate Drink package. One thing we have noticed is that the drink prices do seem to vary from ship to ship and the package 'limit' can also change. On Quantum a few years back the 'limit' was $12 and most cocktails on menu were $14!!!!! $2 upcharge on many drinks and we were actually charged.
Kim Crawford wine (a favourite of ours) also seems to be hit and miss - some ships its in the package and some not...
So, just wondering if anyone know what the limit is on Ovation and hopefully have some recent pics of the drinks prices so we know what to expect when we board.
Thanks in advance x
