  1. Ours was $49 per person for preferred seating for two legs of our flights(both Lufthansa). The cost included seats on both flights. We have five people.
  2. Yep, it really is disappointing. I’m going to attempt to contact NCL Air tomorrow as well. I’m not holding my breath on them helping though.
  3. I take that back about Lufthansa booking our seats. The ones that the agent said she could put us in have now disappeared, so it looks like we are out of luck.
  4. At first Lufthansa said there was no way they’d be able to help since the cruise line booked. It did take some some time for the person to be able to figure it out, but they did. They were also able to assign a seat for my husband, who is our “travel-with”. Online it did say that we wouldn’t be able to make any changes. Maybe I just got lucky and spoke to the right person!
  5. Yes, by chat I meant when a representative tried to contact her through a chat feature. Every time I have called they have insisted I use my PCC and they try to contact her through their chat. She once responded she would get back to me (never did) and the other times no one has been able to reach her as her voicemail is full.
  6. Unfortunately even some PCCs can be rather lacking in the customer service department. I actually made another thread inquiring if all were as bad as mine. Never returned a message or chat request. I asked multiple times for a new one, but that never went anywhere. With the exception of a Disney cruise once, I have never dealt with a cruise line and this has honestly been really crappy thus far.
  7. I have waited on hold probably over 10 accumulated hours with NCL. I hear “I want to break free” in my sleep! We had an awful time with our flights as well. We finally got our info 26 days before our flight. Our flight stuff had to be “escalated” as well. Not happy at all with what we ended up with, but that’s another story. At this point, I’m not sure I would want to ever deal with NCL again either. I really hope the trip itself makes up for it! I hope everything gets worked out for you soon!
  8. I’m not even sure how much it will cost. The cost was to pick our seat. Otherwise, we would have been assigned a seat at the airport. The rep told me I can pay at the airport. Honestly I didn’t even think to ask the price. We are on three separate partner/carrier flights on the way there. United, Lufthansa, and Delta. FWIW, I was able to pick seats on the Delta flights online at no cost. I had to call Lufthansa, as that can’t be done online, and that’s where the charge was. They initially told me there was nothing they can do about seat selection since it was booked through the cruise line. I kindly persisted that they please check and after sometime they came back and were able to.
  9. Finally got our flights. Ended up not being able to sit with each other on the flight home (11 hour flight). There were only 10 seats left on the plane and they were scattered about. I reserved seats that were as close as possible. Also, as a side note, I had to pay to make the seat selections. Hindsight is everything. Definitely would not book air with NCL again.
  10. We are on the Jade from Athens. Our sail dates might be the same though. We are 28 days out now from the cruise, 25 from the flight. Fingers crossed we hear something by tomorrow!
  11. Thanks for this update. I spoke with a representative who said that there was no longer required testing at the Athens port. Clearly that was misinformation.
  12. I think we may be on the same cruise. We are flying out three days early, so we are at the 27 day mark. I religiously check my email and app for updates because this is causing me a lot of anxiety. I’m flying with my kids and am getting concerned there won’t be seats together. I can’t book our tests either because I have no clue when we are leaving. As someone who hates uncertainty, I made a big mistake not booking myself.
  13. We are now 29 days out and no info. Spent 4 hours on hold yesterday to inquire as to when we might hear something, as the placeholder flights are still different for myself and the later added member of our party. I did learn yesterday that just because you pay the “travel with” fee, you aren’t guaranteed to have the same flights (despite the website stating otherwise). Threw me a bit for a loop as my husband’s placeholder flight is nowhere near our flight times, on the way out or back. Luckily I booked a flight deviation of two days on the front end. I am just concerned about not finding seats together or close (traveling with husband, kids, and mom).
  14. It really is hit or miss! I have spoken to some really nice people and some people who were pretty rude. Answers to any questions have been have pretty inconsistent as well. My main things were adding a new reservation for my husband, who initially wasn’t able to travel with us and also the nightmare of booking flights with NCL. We are currently 29 days from our flight with absolutely no information. Will use a travel agent as suggested by others from here on out. Not being a regular “cruiser”, this experience thus far, will probably prevent me from ever doing another one!
  15. Since booking our cruise, I have never been able to reach my personal cruise consultant. Months ago, after booking my cruise, I received a voicemail with their information. I have yet to reach them for questions since. Initially I would leave a voicemail. Eventually their mailbox was full. Only two of those being mine. I gave up on ever contacting them. On any subsequent calls, the representative I have spoken to insists I go though my PCC. They’ve even messaged them and my PCC said they’d get back to me. They never have. I have been borderline yelled at by a representative for not using my PCC, despite explaining the situation. I have asked for another PCC, but nothing came of that. My experience with NCL customer service up to this point really sucks. Is this normal?
  16. That’s what I was told by the representative I spoke with. I double checked with her as well, and she reiterated no mandatory testing at the port. Things really seem so fluid who knows what the rules will be come July though!
  17. Not helpful for your question, but we are 32 days from departure and haven’t received our flight info yet. We are flying to Athens as well.
  18. FWIW, I spoke with a representative and they said that testing at the port was not a requirement. My cruise is the seven day Greek Isles, with Turkey being the only deviation.
  19. My app updated to show flight info about a week ago (40 days before sailing). However, my flights did not match those of another member of our party. We did pay the Travel Together fee. I called to inquire as to what was going on and I was told that what showed up on the app was a “flight holder” and not our actual flights. We are now 32 days from sailing (we are getting to Athens a few days in advance) and have yet to receive our flight info. I do understand that with all the flight cancellations that booking has been tricky. However, it is quite anxiety invoking in that we’ve not been given any information about our flights.
