  1. Ship: Eclipse Cruise length: 7 nights Sail date: 10/08/23 Captain’s Club Tier: Booked through Celebrity Direct or via TA: TA Current Cabin: Veranda - Prime Bid? Yes If Yes- Bidding Details: Cabin Category: - Aqua Class Sky Suite $1085pp Notification Date: 9/13 Accepted/Rejected: Accepted New Cabin: Aqua Class Sky Suite General comments: Very full cruise. 5 Sky Suites, 2 Sunset Sky Suites, and 5 Aqua Sky Suites were available. My bid went pending without the ability to modify around August 22. Acceptance took almost 3-4 weeks.
  2. Thank you both for your input. I guess I will still make a bid on the Royal suite and see what happens!
  3. When traveling to a warm destination like Europe in summer, I bring a carry-on bag. Summer clothing is light and small. Mixing and matching is key. My trips are usually 3-5 weeks in length. Very doable - even if you're a person who likes to dress up (like me)! I will do laundry a couple of times, but some stuff I bring is so easy to wash and dries so quickly that it's not a hassle to me. Other items like 100% silk, etc. require handwashing anyways, so I'd rather do it myself.
  4. I'm currently trying to determine whether or not to bid for a Royal Suite on Solstice. We booked in a cruise only fare. We received the MoveUp email and clicked into that link. For the Royal Suite, it listed Premium "All-In" Benefits, including complimentary Premium Beverage package, unlimited complimentary specialty dining, and unlimited internet access. For the Sky and Celebrity Suites, neither mentioned the Beverage Package nor the Internet. I gave Celebrity a call, and after much asking around, they confirmed that a MoveUp to a Royal Suite would entitle guests to those amenities as they come with the room. I then also found this one-pager that summarizes this. (Attached) However, having read your post, I'm back to being confused about what's included for Royal Suites. Can anyone else chime in on their recent (or not) experience? CEL_TheRetreat_OnePager celebrity moveup.pdf
  5. Ha! Reminds me of university days. Lots of classmates showed up in PJs and pillows for AM lectures. Back to the topic, it's always nice to see people at a restaurant looking put together - and honestly, that could mean shorts and even flip flops depending on the right person (and that right person would likely have an incredible personal style to pull that off). This year, for those in my age group of 35-45, looking put together seem to mean leggings + crop tops + blazer combos for women, and polos + lounge pants, non-athletic shorts or slacks + sneakers combos for men. These outfits would technically violate the dress code in MDR, but not in spirit. Personally, it doesn't offend me at all if other people dress comfortably. But I'm from Vancouver. We were athleisure loungewear-ready long before the pandemic began.
  6. To add to this if anyone can help clarify: I'm Canadian, and will be going one-way down to Los Angeles. I'm assuming I don't need to fill our ArriveCan until just before we fly back from Los Angeles, correct? The wording on various websites is a bit confusing.
