We are just back from our voyage. We had a delightful time. I must say, I have never seen such a large number of people consistently be complaint with masking requirements. We felt very safe, stayed away from dining with others and have hopefully avoided catching anything. We would certainly cruise with Cunard again

When our train was cancelled we booked on National Express. But be careful- they have a very meagre baggage allowance.

Thank you all so much for your thoughtful replies. We have made the decision to go and see what happens. We are going to be as careful as possible, but we know we can not remove all risk from our lives. It has been over 2 years since we had a proper holiday and who knows how long until things return to "normal" again. We're going to try to make the best of it & hopefully we will have a lovely time. I'll let you know what things are like on board.

Thanks so much for your replies. We are still deciding on whether or not to go. I believe this particular crossing has been sold out for quite some time. I know some people already boarded in Hamburg and we are debating on how we feel about being on such a full ship.

Hello all- My husband & I are booked on our first Cunard liner passage. We are meant to leave tomorrow on the QM2 and are very excited, but starting to get a bit nervous about contracting covid. I just received an email from Cunard stating that out of an abundance of caution they are requiring masks indoors everywhere except when in your stateroom or while dining. I figure we would be most likely to get it around other unmasked people while eating. Can anyone comment on if there are any open air dining options on board? Thank you!
