  1. Fine, then you post means nothing. And I think the word "many" is way over blown. You and one other is "many"? And the other I think just misunderstood me. You seem to just want to argue.
  2. Yes: "Children will be removed of a relationship with a parent or guardian upon their 18th birthday. If it is found that a dependent or child is not immediately removed from a relationship upon their 18th birthday and accumulates a higher tier status outside of this time period, the dependent's record will be adjusted back to the appropriate tier status" "A Crown & Anchor Society member can be added into a relationship with other family members in the same household and receive equivalent tier status; however Cruise Points will remain according to actual cruises taken and calculated using the Program level accrual system described above".
  3. You need to read words for what they are, not what you want them to be.
  4. No, I think you are not understand me! I'm fully aware Status and Benefits are two different things, they are links but mean two different things. And it's easy to spot when you read the policy that I linked to. For example: "4 Diamond Lounge is an exclusive benefit" Note that it doesn't say "Status". Status is just a handle that is given to you when you earn a certain amount of points.
  5. We are talking past each other, again. My differentiation is that children aren't included in that "Pinnacle" policy. Not about the spouse getting the points/status or not.
  6. And I didn't say anyone was saying it was an "exception". I just said that I thought that it was interesting ("What's interesting") that there was such a difference between Pinnacle and others and the lack of including children in their policy. AND, as a result, John only got what "policy" allowed. I don't think I'm confused, at least not with the policies that I'm finding, so far.
  7. I totally agree with your premise, period. And I'm all for that policy. But, I'm asking for official documentation that backs that up and is more updated than the link I pasted as some folks seem to believe that it is too old to be valid. Also, some folks in this thread and others are debating that Diamond, Diamond + can have friends and family come in the Diamond Lounge with them that aren't in those statuses or didn't earn the actual cruise night points for the status. I don't know the factual answer to my doubt of the policy. I'm just trying to get to the latest "official" documented policy if different than the one I copied and pasted.
  8. Royals POLICY is that status. "Pinnacle Club member tier status can only be earned by an individual, spouse or significant other by one of them accumulating 700 Cruise Points or more in the CAS program. For all tiers except Pinnacle Club, a relationship is defined as a spouse or significant other and children less than 18 years old. For Pinnacle Club a relationship is considered a spouse and/or significant other". Note: Children are not mentioned in Pinnacle. The status was to the "spouse" in accordance with their "Policy", not exception. Show me where it was an exception if you believe it was!
  9. Okaaaaaaaay! What's interesting, it's not an exception in that case. It's according to policy. But, it is unique to Pinnacle. And like I said, I really don't care how he got it unless it was illegal, immoral, or fattening. 😁
  10. I don't know how you did that and I really don't care how you did that. But, I have consistently said that there are always exceptions to virtually every rule/policy/law/edict/whatever's. I'll add, exceptions for good and bad. But, I'm no busybody and it's not my place to ask how you did it, unless it was illegal, immoral, or fattening.
  11. There, I corrected it for ya. 🤢🤡
  12. Okay, I think I found something and it was right there all along. Just needed to keep on reading. However, it still leaves a question in my mind. To me, what it say, "receive equivalent tier status" doesn't mean any more than their Set Sail Card will only say the they are Diamond or above (excluding Pinnacle). It doesn't necessarily say that they can receive the benefits of Diamond, like entering the Diamond Lounge, free drinks, etc., (and I freely admit that my interpretation/logic could be totally wrong) , only the status. AND it says, "Cruise Points will remain according to actual cruises taken and calculated using the Program level accrual system described above ". So, if the spouse and/or child(ren) don't accompany one spouse or parent, they don't get the points for the sailing missed, just status if it changed on that cruise. That mean if a status of marriage change or child(ren) turn 18, the points are only accumulated for the actual cruises taken after that change of age or marital status. https://www.royalcaribbean.com/content/dam/royal/resources/pdf/crown-and-anchor-society-benefit-grid.pdf : A Crown & Anchor Society member can be added into a relationship with other family members in the same household and receive equivalent tier status; however Cruise Points will remain according to actual cruises taken and calculated using the Program level accrual system described above. Pinnacle Club member tier status will not be awarded to dependents if earned by their parent and/or guardian. Pinnacle Club member tier status can only be earned by an individual, spouse or significant other by one of them accumulating 700 Cruise Points or more in the CAS program. For all tiers except Pinnacle Club, a relationship is defined as a spouse or significant other and children less than 18 years old. For Pinnacle Club a relationship is considered a spouse and/or significant other.
  13. This is not a challenge!!!! Just a request for Official Documentation that states so.
  14. It was on Independence last week! But, I/we were totally incognito, no Internet/phone/text/nothing other than face to face verbal communications with each other and others or written official documents paced in our cabin. If you weren't on the ship with us, you didn't hear from us. It was great. Full disclosure: It was only a 4 night cruise, no biggie at all. 7 to 14+ night cruises are different and of course situations back at home, too.
  15. And that's what it is on Royal, too. At least on their official documentation. Which I like!
  16. JUST and FYI: I've tried to do a deep dive into this subject and I found that the Australian Royal Caribbean Website does say that Crown & Anchor status is shared with SO and Children. But, that has nothing to do with U.S. based sailings. Also, another cruise blog/social media site unequivocally states that Crown & Anchor status is shared with "Family Members". However, no link to an official source and it's not the first time the administrator or his surrogates has been wrong, but that's not to say, for sure, that he/they are/were wrong with this, I just can't find official documentation that backs him up. U.S. Royal Caribbean based website, that I have found, so far, all state that Friends and Family can not enter the lounge if they haven't earned the benefit (exceptions apply, I guess). Disclaimer: I'm only voicing/writing the results of official sources that I have found. There may be exceptions or more updated official sources. But, I haven't found them, YET. P.S. I earned Diamond Status on November 3rd and it officially showed up in the Crown & Anchor Site this morning.
  17. I did not highlight the last sentence in the first cut and paste.
  18. Very true. However, I would think that Royal's policy would be that any written communications between any level of crew and guests has to be within a certain level of proficiency. This letter doesn't seem to be above the 4th or 5th grade level or minimal competency in the English language. I vote that it is a complete fake or unauthorized! I speak a little of 3 or 4 languages! In no way would I try to communicate in writing in any of those languages, officially or not. Hell, I have enough of a problem with English. I never, pre-retirement, released a written communication without it being reviewed by a very competent secretary or other trusted and proficient writer.
  19. Well then, we are on the same sheet of music!
  20. I would hope that the reasonable people would understand what I meant. I KNOW what the facial recognition is!!!!!! So, let me explain: No CBP kiosk, an individual asking many meaningless questions and so on. Done in just a few seconds. Come on, you had to know what I meant!
  21. I'm kinda the guy that likes to get on as early as possible and get off whenever, I really don't care. BUT, we do "Self Assist" to get off on shorter cruises (3 or 4 day/night), which is early. Not because we like to get off early, but because we don't like the hurry up and wait and going to look for our baggage and maneuver around the stuff. Just move off the ship and directly to our car, at least at Canaveral. No CBP, just facial recognition which takes about 10 seconds. As we get older though, we may have to use the other process as pulling and lifting baggage isn't as easy as it used to be. But, I think I'm good for a few more years.
  22. Ya, can't wait to see Danny's video and review. Not so much Matt's.
  23. Thanks, I saw that one. But, I was hoping on seeing the finished interior.
