Probably doesn't exist, but just in case I'll ask anyways.
Are there any rooms, maybe on the larger cruise ships, that are completely free of machine noise/vibration?
I did a little research. Basically avoid elevators, having a room too low could expose you engine noise/vibration, noise from machines used by the crew, avoid near elevators or other machine rooms, avoid directly below loud common area parts of the cruise (casino, performances, etc).
So basically, I'm thinking the quietest room would have to be a lower cabin, but not too low that you get engine noise/vibration and not too to get noise from common areas.
I can handle people talking in the hallway walking by, but just machine nose and vibration I cannot. If someone goes by in a scooter once in awhile that's fine I'll just put earmuffs on. But if it's continuous, forget it.
