  1. Thanks, I did that, what I found interesting was the current cruise to Tasmania has the main production 'Dream' showing but the next cruise that is going to South Pacific on the 14th December does not and appears to have less entertainment? I am hoping this will be updated and now that I know how to do this will keep any eye on this sailing as we are booked to go on the same in March. Thanks for your help.
  2. Did you see the main production the Dream and was there any theme nights or theme parties? Thanks
  3. If they reviews are so bad now, I am not taking the risk, will wait and hear back from next couple of cruises and then make decision before final payment - luckily we paid extra for fully refundable deposit. Shame though because I was really looking forward to it 😞
  4. You are the first person who has said that 'A Beautiful Dream' was on the ship? Are you sure this was the main production and if so, how many times was it shown? What was your honest review of comedians, both of them I have looked up and does not look like they have much online or any tours (past or present) since about 2009 and 2010? Thanks
  5. Thank you, we are seriously thinking of cancelling, have until the 16 Jan to pay final payment, but from what I am hearing - it is not looking good. I don't believe COVID is the main reason, as they seem to be able to still put on all of the intended entertainment on the US cruises, and they don't require masks, vaccinations or pre-cruise testing anymore..
  6. Hi Everyone, booked to go on our Cruise for March 2023, however, been hearing a lot from people who have just disembarked or are currently onboard Ovation of the Seas and they are not happy with the lack of entertainment or the absent Cruise Director? RCL put out a press release telling everyone about what was going to be available on Ovation of the Seas in 2022 - do they change or water this down for Australian Cruisers as no-one has mentioned the main production 'The Dream' which was suppose to be onboard or the Theme Parties and Theme Nights? The only two acts that I have are comedians James Palomare and James Buster (both never heard of) Has anyone cruised on Ovation of the Seas since it restarted and how did you find the entertainment. Thank You

  8. Thank you for all the advice, had a friend over from the US, she kindly brought me 2 bottles of wrinkle relaxer 🙂
  9. Noticed that Princess has a variety of different options you can choose from when booking a cruise, however, I can only see the option to purchase 'Princess Plus' or 'Princess Standard' there is no option for 'Princess Premier' therefore wondering if they are not offering it here in Australia.
  10. Tram or train will set you back about $27 AUD - goes direct and runs very frequently Sydney Airport (SYD) to White Bay Cruise Terminal (rome2rio.com)
  11. Should there be an outbreak, it would be impossible to prove where it originated from, unless the cruise line also did it's own supervised testing of every passenger at the very start of the cruise, which they would not do. Therefore the threat of legal action would do nothing to dissuade someone from faking a negative test result if they wanted to. Even though it is nice to believe that most people are doing the right thing, it will only take a couple of people to not do the right thing to result in an outbreak in the ship.
  12. All passengers should be required to get a negative PCR or a supervised RAT prior to boarding as self administered tests can easily be faked, for example just because someone takes a photo of a negative test strip with a newspaper or some form of ID, how can you tell if that person actually took the test?
  13. Will be interesting to see if masks are actually required as RCL has just announced that crew will not have to wear masks as of 1st of October (hoping that is for all of their ships) and with NSW, VIC and QLD already thinking about relaxing the vaccination requirements for cruises, and all other COVID mandates being removed (testing, masks, quarantine) from around Australia for all other modes of transport, venues and events - it seems silly to still maintain COVID mandates and restrictions for cruises only. https://cruisepassenger.com.au/news/three-aussie-states-review-cruise-health-rules-as-they-are-abandoned-around-the-world/
  14. With masks no longer required in Australia on planes, public transport, cruise ports and the removal of mandatory quarantine if you test positive from the 14 October - I assume that masks are not mandated on cruise ships out of Australia and will be optional / personal choice?
  15. Doing some research into RCI's Club Royale, trying to see if Australian Cruisers are able to access and join this when cruising with RCI and if anyone has had any luck with receiving exclusive offers etc.. as a result? Or is this only available to USA cruisers ?
  16. That sounds okay when it is USD for us Aussies it works out $4.50 for a shirt, $6 for pants, $15 for a suit, $23 for a evening gown and almost $60 for a bag of washing... (funny how they use steam generated from hell but we can't use a little travel pocket steamer?)
  17. I am on the roll call but I think it is a bit early... I guess I am just eager with it being our first cruise to make sure we don't forget anything
  18. Thanks, I have a small travel one, I may consider risking it, I guess the worst thing they can do is take it off me and give it back at the end. It has auto cut off and cannot see how this could be a fire hazard when it uses water? And especially when we can still bring hair dryer and curling iron which would be an even bigger fire hazard? Maybe it is a money thing?
  19. Thank You, just tried to search and unfortunately I am unable to find anywhere I can buy this in Australia except for Amazon where it is $39 AUD for a travel size 😞 Will check keep an eye out in Costco, they get some US items in every now and then. 🤞
  20. Hi, We have our very first cruise in March next year, looking ahead at what to pack and how, one of my concerns are that they do not supply an iron, nor are you allowed to bring your own 😞 can you brink a portable steamer? If not, what are the approximate prices for ironing a shirt or dress (not washing, just pressing?) What do people do to get around this issue? Tips and tricks?
  21. I would be ecstatic with $86 per day, our cruise is in March 2023 - still have some time for it to hopefully go down some more, and now that I have cancelled and rebooked once I feel confident doing it again if the chance arises.. it is always hard the first time because you just never know what will happen... But it was all smooth sailing 🙂
  22. Fantastic, I have one of these, I brought it for our USA trip... good to know it is approved for cruising .. Thank You
  23. Just noticed this at the bottom of the beverages page, has anyone been charged a fee for cancelling their beverage package?
