halfacts.com has pictures of the balconies. I believe the closest one to your cabin is the pictures for Nieuw Amsterdam room 4178. It doesn't look like it is fully covered, but has some coverage.

We were on the Nieuw Statendam in December 2021 and they wouldn't punch another hole for us. Told us this would make the card not work. It had a horizontal slit already punched out, but the lanyard we were using needed a circular hole. I've been on 15 Holland cruises before and this was the only one where they wouldn't punch a hole for me.

As far as pricing for specific drinks, I'm not sure, but I think they are similar to prices on board.

Price is definitely worth it. You should break even at around 4 alcoholic drinks. Make sure to save your receipts with each one you order though!!! Otherwise, they may try to charge you once you get back on board (they did this to me twice and I had the proof so they would fix it).

Are those prices listed per person or per cabana? For instance, if I wanted to book a cabana for 2 people for 14 days would it be a total of $399 or would it be $798?

Do they still have private cabanas by the Lido Pool on the Nieuw Amsterdam? Or have they converted it to open seating? If so, does anyone have an updated price on these? All I could find was pricing for 2018.

I know that the HIA includes drinks $11 and under, but do they allow you to order drinks in the specialty restaurants (Pinnacle, Tamarind)? Or are the drinks in those restaurants an extra charge? Also, just for fun...what are some of your favorite mixed drinks to order on HAL? (*Yes, I have seen the website with the bar menus.)
