  1. Thank you all, much appreciated. As long as the fish & chips are still in the Golden Lion (and as good), I'll be happy. $58.50 for dinner in Sir Samuels seems rather a lot... is the unicorn fillet included in that, or supplementary?!
  2. Hi All We're looking forward to sailing on Queen Anne in a few weeks time. Having seen the Cunard website and numerous vlogs of the ship, nothing seems to have been said about how much the supplementary restaurants (Sir Samuels, Tramonto, Aranya etc) cost to eat in, or whether they're a la carte (and what the dishes etc cost). Also, does anyone know the admission charge to The Bright Lights Society please, and what it includes please? None of this information seems to be on the My Cunard site, so I assume they're all bookable once on board? Also, is the pub lunch served in the Golden Lion still complimentary (as on the other Queens) or a paid extra, by Michel Roux? Sorry for all the questions, but any help or insights greatly appreciated.
  3. Hi all, I just wanted to check if the currency used in the casinos on board P&O ships is still pounds, rather than US dollars? Do the fruit machines take coins, or just notes... or is it all cashless and done via cruise card? Any help really appreciated! TIA
  4. Is decanting spirits etc into other bottles, rather than keeping them in unopened bottles, allowed by P&O?
  5. I see from the P&O website that each adult is allowed to bring up to 1 litre of wine or spirits onboard when they first embark. It doesn't say whether the bottles have to be carried in hand luggage or put in the checked baggage that's handed in before embarkation. It may just be OK in either. I'm also assuming that the bottles have to be sealed and unopened? Any guidance on this would be really appreciated. Cheers!
  6. I saw that on the cruise personaliser too, but just thought that it was for our cruise, which goes on 11 November, to encourage people to book before departure!
  7. Thank you all. That's really interesting, if somewhat sad (especially for the solo travellers, who are treated so well on other lines). Does anyone know what happens at the officially hosted Cruise Critic events on the line that are mentioned on the Meet & Mingle page please? Is it just a glass of cheap fizz, like at the loyalty club parties, or a more convivial affair?
  8. Does anyone know if P&O cruises host Meet & Mingle events on their cruises for Cruise Critic members? I'm guessing not, but only ask as their name seems to be nowhere on the page, which is surprising as they are such a popular cruise line. Any help or advice greatly appreciated!
