  1. Depending on how many there are of you, don't forget the taxi is one cost whereas the Princess transfer cost will be per person, sorry if I'm stating the obvious
  2. Sorry, can't help with cost of transfers to Heathrow with Princess, I booked a private taxi which cost me £150, because I wanted to get to LHR as quickly as possible to spend time with family prior to flying out in the evening. You can add transfers to your booking by calling Princess directly or speaking with your TA. Or you could book via excursions a disembark tour which ends at LHR, depending on your flight times. The excursions were a similar cost to my taxi, direct transfer would have been less. Hope that's of some help.
  3. According to the itinerary, we were scheduled back into Southampton at 7am.
  4. We disembarked on June 17th, we had Yellow 2 tags but were off the ship, luggage collected & out of the terminal by 7am. The fastest & easiest disembarkation we've ever done! Obviously this was our experience & has no bearing on what might happen on another day, but just for information. Good luck with your decision.
  5. Oh my goodness, wish I hadn't bothered posting anything! All I was trying to answer was that it was very easy to get a taxi to the airport from the OPT this morning, with what it cost me, as an indication for future passengers and in answer to the original question. The driver said it included a levy for "the port" I took that to mean from OPT but he could have also meant the airport I guess. Yes, it was more expensive than the train would have been. My concern with the taking the train was changing platforms at Central, due to weekend maintenance work, with a relatively heavy suitcase. The information available on the NSW transport website wasn't clear on whether the lifts were operational or not & not being familiar with the station layout, I made a decision to take a taxi & be sure that I'd make my flight on time. As it was I walked out of my cabin at 07:40 & was through security at the airport by 08:40, I'm happy with the decisions I made this morning!
  6. Just got off Majestic this morning, easy to take a taxi from the OPT: as soon as you walk out of terminal you turn back on yourself to the left, back up in lift to level 3, where there was a long line of taxis waiting. Cost to T3 was $79, which included a $10 surcharge for the port. I'd intended to take the train from Circular Quay but wasn't sure how I'd go with changing at Central, due to maintenance, with luggage etc, so decided a taxi was the easy option! An hour after walking out of my cabin, I was through security at the airport, let's hope rest of the day goes as smoothly 🤞
  7. I'm on Majestic which left Sydney last Saturday. The minibar set up wasn't in the cabin on boarding & wasn't delivered until Sunday late morning. Not a big deal as I'm sure they were all very busy due to the extra cleaning from the previous cruise. The set-up was delivered on a small tray, wrapped in a paper laundry bag & taped shut. I don't drink alcohol or coffee, so swap mine for a mix of soda/perrier. The guy delivering said I needed to request the change through room service, which was not a problem & the change out was done the following day. It would be great if there was a way of pre requesting/ordering what you'd like from a pre set list, rather than the current double doing, which must add to the crew's workload.
