Regarding crew knowing guests names, one other cruise line I know of has facial recognition running everywhere in their ships. At dining venues and everywhere else you appear on their tablet and then are addressed by name, but with no credit to crew IMO!
I don’t really Care if a crew member knows my name or not! We don’t like being the center of attraction sort to speak nor do we Have to have our pictures with the captain or officers or with our waiter or the chef! We are polite to the crew, unlike what we have seen on numerous cruises!

Since TK is no longer part of Seabourn has the Napa Burger been removed from the Patio menu?

We board the Breeze next week but have been unable to find any cruise docs! Does Windstar not give any nor give luggage tags🤷♂️

For a person who only drinks espresso drinks, I think it is great. Yacht Club is open early morning 6/6:30, for us it is dreamy to go out on deck early with our espresso latte. What can be better. Happy Sailing

When do excursions usually open up? We are on SA December/January Christmas/NYE cruise but as of now there are No excursions available! 🤔

Seabourn allows kids Viking does Not! 🤷♂️

How is the Specialty coffees on the Breeze! Like Latte, Americano etc?

We will be in the same situation as our DL flight only leaves a few days a week, hence why we are going down 3 days early! 🤔

Yes, in December.
It should start at 9 am but the port was closed so we started at 11:00 and missed some sights also due to heavy traffic. We reached the airport around 1 pm.
Thank you!

Has anyone done the post city tour and airport transfer excursion after the cruise? If so what time does it start and what time do you arrive at the airport?
thank you! 😎

Thank you for your review it was lovely. We will be embarking on the Bragi in BUD next Saturday, the 18th, for the Grand European Cruise B-A and have never been on Viking river cruise, have sailed ocean. What was the dress at dinner? We were lucky to book one of the ES suites, due to a Generous credit, but would be just as happy with the cabin you booked! 😉

Several people have questioned exactly when Solis will debut on the various Seabourn ships. Here is what Seabourn has planned:
So it's a month-long conversion on each ship, with the restaurant scheduled to open midway through at the start of the third week, with fine-tuning and finishing touches over the remaining two weeks. If you're unlucky enough to be on one of the ships during the first two weeks of the conversion, you'll miss out on both TK Grille and Solis. But there's really no other way they could do this without waiting for each ship to go into dry dock, which would be nearly impossible in a five month period.
We are on a 21 night on the Ovation May 8, 2024

Everybody else is chiming in, so I will too: MEH!!! Personally, I would have preferred Pan-Asian/Indian. All the items on the sample menu sound "over-composed", just like in the dining room. Every now and then, I would like something simple, but devine - a steak, a veggie, a starch, period. Sometimes phoo-phoo is just pooh-pooh.
We would Never go to it if it was Indian! Ever!

Found this online from "Markets Insider,"
Solis will offer a delightful array of dishes to satisfy and linger long after the last bite. Sumptuous, featured dishes include Piquillos De La Mama - Basque piquillo peppers with fresh Murcia goat milk cheese served on country bread crostini; Branzino - Whole Sea Bass baked in a sea salt and fresh thyme crust served with artichokes and tomatoes; Bistecca Alla Fiorentina – Tuscan-style grilled beef porterhouse steak; and Spiced Lamb Shank - Chargrilled smoked eggplant with tahini, pomegranate, roasted pine nuts, and labneh. A beautiful assortment of vegetarian and vegan options will also be incorporated throughout the menu.
MEH!👎

@Mudhen I haven't seen her....but that doesn't mean she's not here!
There are a great number of new staff - more accurately, new to us. We recognised hardly anyone when we boarded. It appears my (new) role in life is to train Regent staff to make a "proper" Gin and Tonic - i.e. one where the gin isn't drowned in a whole glass of stale, anonymous tonic water. So far, I have about an 80% success rate, though I'm aiming for 100% reliability by the time we leave 😉 Well, we all assume a mission in our lives, don't we?!
I hope you have trained them as we board today and can see the ship from our hotel room!

Older teens mostly, one or two younger people travelling with parents/grandparents (one of whom proudly achieved gold SSS status the other day. Mostly, there are (?a couple of) large, multigenerational family groups noticeable primarily in the evening sitting at adjacent large tables, sometimes having a cross table conversation.
TY! 😉

I couldn’t agree more with what Gilly has said. The weather forecast before we came did not augur well but in actual fact has been very pleasant, Oslo especially.
I don’t think that I have been on any cruise that has so many young people on, it make’s one feel positively old,🙂🙂 though it does make for a very nice ambience on board, although not so sure about their singing on karaoke night.😂😂 It also caused the staff one or two tiny issue’s in Prime 7 last night, when 19 of them were helping to celebrate a young lady’s birthday. What are the ages of the young people?

But, if this is so (and I have no idea if it is or not) there's nothing we can do about it except hope for the best, is there? There are children on board - or perhaps more accurately, "youngsters" - with their families who are no bother whatsoever. I appreciate a group of children might be rather different. We'll see.
We are in Lysekil today and joined a "seal safari" tour this morning. The weather was clear and dry, a bit "brisk" at times but the sun put in an appearance now and again. We sat on the top, open deck of the boat and enjoyed the scenery and yes, spotted one or two seals, appreciating the fresh, clean Scandinavian air. I think that those around us would agree that it was an enjoyable trip and had been fairly described in the tour information. But to illustrate the varied responses to these things, as we waited for the shuttle bus back to the ship, we overheard someone from that same tour tell a passing friend that it had been dreadful. "Don't do it" they said!!
We'd recommend it wholeheartedly, depending on the weather of course.
Your right!

We'll see you on board, since we're sailing B2B and will disembark in Reykjavik.
Friends of ours boarded today and told us a “Large” group of “ Camp At Sea” kids from Blackpool will be boarding the ship in Southampton, needless to say we are Not happy! In May when we were on the Splendor on our b2b cruise there were children on board and we’re Horrible, running through Prime 7 at dinner and No One did Anything!

We will be boarding the Splendor in Southampton for the 4th time in less than a year!
