Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. I was due to go on a cruise with a friend of mine but they have since tested positive for COVID and I still plan on going, we do understand that we can both get a full refund if both of us don't go but neither of us want to pursue this option, I was going to call RCI and inform them of the circumstances but I am expected to be on hold for over an hour, does it make a difference if they are a no show at the pier or if I remove them over the phone or online?
  2. Both of us purchased Travel insurance for this cruise. Myself and a friend of mine were due to embark on a cruise this week but they Tested positive for COVID on an at home test, I am aware that if one of your party tests positive 10 days before embarkation day both parties can be fully reimbursed. Although if I still wanted to attend the cruise would she be eligible to be fully reimbursed? I tried to ask this over the phone with RCI but they tried redirecting me a couple times and decided I wasn't going to get anywhere calling them, after they kept giving me vague answers. Aside from filing a claim for positive COVID test could I fudge the info on an insurance claim for them to get anything in return like a missed flight or flight change that did not allow them to make the cruise? the last cruise I went on this exact thing happened when my party member had flights changed on her last minute and almost missed the cruise entirely, but while I was on the emergency help line they stated that she could file a claim and get her money back for the cruise, we didn't need to do this because she ended up making it but would it be possible to claim it is a result of unexpected flight cancelation for a singular refund for my friend or would it just be better to state they tested positive for COVID?
  3. Thanks for the Tip but the cruise doesn't leave from Canaveral, its a stop along the way, I definitely understand the confusion 😅
  4. Does this excursion also include admission to the Kennedy Space Center? Normally when they list excursions that say shuttle it will also state in bold letters or in the description that it does not include admission to the attraction but in the details of this excursion it claims; "Blast off into out-of-this-world adventure as you independently enjoy hands-on exhibits at Kennedy Space Center that explore America's interplanetary program, all with the convenience of roundtrip coach transfers. A 30-minute bus ride brings you to Kennedy Space Center, where you'll have several hours of independent exploration (duration depending on ship arrival time). Through the center's interactive Mission Zones, you'll get up-close to sky-high rockets in the Rocket Garden and marvel at the U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame. See the historic countdown clock — or go behind the gates to launch operations headquarters. Watch a 3D IMAX film, meet a real-life astronaut, snap photos with the space shuttle Atlantis, and stand before the gigantic Saturn V, the largest rocket ever flown." Which leads me to believe that admission should be included? there also some other details in the featured highlights that lead me to believe that admission should be included but then again I'm not sure I did try to call customer support but it proved unhelpful as they just read everything word for word off the details page of the excursion giving me no further answers to my question.
  5. I have a bit of an issue that I'm not really getting any clear answers from RCI when I call them, but my issue is that I am booked to cruise in 20 days, my friend who was joining me has a family emergency and is unable to go, I myself would still like to go, is there any way my friend can be entitled to some sort of refund this close to the cruise? we did purchase travelers insurance. In the past I remember reading in other forums that you can receive compensation by having your joiner no show at the pier or claim they had flight arrangement issues, or even manipulating their COVID policy, does anyone know of any other tips or tricks to be entitled to some sort of compensation this close to the cruise or are we SOL?
