Has anyone been on the Escape recently? I'm curious which night the Seafood Extravaganza is.
I am going to watch the Dailies for that one. My hubby can go but I am allergic!!!

I absolutely wanted coffee delivered to our room with the former complimentary breakfast. I was both happy and surprised when I found out it existed, then three weeks prior to our cruise it suddenly doesn't exist. I would pay for coffee to be delivered. I wanted that one bit of pampering for a week! However when I mentioned it to my hubby he smiled and said it was a good thing I was bringing the insulated coffee mug - so that means no room service for me. So yes, I am disappointed. He is a stickler for not paying a dime over the cost we've already paid for plus tips. Worse is, I get up much earlier than he does so he will expect me to bring two coffee mugs back. I may forget to pack his - haha!

We are on the Escape and we are still scheduled to dock there - for now on 12/26

When we booked with our TA I made the choice of using the BOGO through NCL. It was less of a hassle for me. We received our flight information 60 days prior to our sailing (12/24). We have a direct flight from MSP to Orlando on Delta the day before our cruise. Our return is late enough in the day where I won't feel rushed to run off the ship. I simply went onto the Delta app, pulled up the flight information, added our Sky miles numbers and picked our seats. It was simple. Do I know what is to come next week - no, but I choose to believe all will be well.
Happy Cruising!

@julig22 is right. Gratuities on room service are only charged on non-complimentary food and beverage items . Gratuities have never been charged on top of the delivery service charge.
This FAQ hasn't been updated to reflect the new fee scheme, probably because the new fee structure hasn't been fully rolled out yet, but the conceptual framework should still be good.

Is Norwegian Cruise Line now charging for room service?Norwegian Cruise Line has introduced an enhanced room service menu. The new menu offers an expanded selection for breakfast, in addition to a wider variety of options available 24 hours. Individual items on the menu remain available on a complimentary basis and a convenience charge of up to $9.95 USD will be added to each order placed (Morning coffee, continental breakfast and orders placed by guests sailing in The Haven will not attract a charge)*. A 20% gratuity and beverage service charge will be added for non-complimentary beverages and special occasion items. Room service is one of up to 29 dining options offered across the fleet, and guests continue to be able to enjoy a wide array of complimentary choices onboard 24 hours a day.
*Prices subject to change.
If it hasn't been update, is it because it is not yet fleet wide?

Another lovely rumor I heard today. Starting this week on the Escape they will be charging 4.95 for the continental breakfast that I thought would be free. They are also dropping their other room service breakfast items to the same price. These are reports from someone who just came off the ship and the posted the new prices and menus on another well known site that involves friends.

From what I've learned elsewhere, we are able to use the pool if we want to. Drinks are expensive. I just learned the Escape is docking in Amber Cove the week of 12/24, but I've also heard that is still up for debate.

Picture saved to my phone and put it my notes section for the cruise. There are a few years between my shot drinking years and today. But I could definitely enjoy a 747. ✈️
At 747 looks amazing.

As the title and first post say, it's only mixed shots not cocktails that may or may not be an issue on some ships, only Pearl and Breakaway reported as problem ships to date.
Thank you so much.

I can't read this entire thread but am I now understanding I cannot have a Mudslide or a Chocolate Martini? I rarely drink, but since I am cruising I would like a few cocktails. Hubby already said that we cannot incur any charges while we are on the ship because we already paid and you get what you pay for!

We were on the Escape 12/24-12/31. I can't tell you how many very very young trashed kids there were in Spice H20 once the parties started. We saw a drunken stumbling teenager running across the pool deck vomiting all over people. Drunk teens in the aft elevator ever single day. It was so sad.
