On the Meraviglia sailing to Mexico. First time on this ship. We are in a Deluxe Balcony, but space is very limited for storage. Small closet and only two tiny drawers, so pack sparingly. We are “Diamond “ passengers because of our status on another cruise line. We had dinner at Ocean Cay last night complimented. It was a nice well prepared meal with good service, but we wouldn’t have paid out of pocket. We were going to watch a movie on stateroom television, but all are pay per view and they were not first run. We have sailed a multitude of lines and all have pros and cons, but almost any day at sea is better than being on land.

Another day another disappointment on the Viking Orion! There will be no docking in Adelaide for hull cleaning. It must be done 17 nm out to sea. Many guests are perplexed and the questions are many. The Orion should have been aware of the Coral Princess situation. The CP was covered in the media. Is this just poor planning or gross incompetence on the part of Viking Cruises. Passengers deserve an answer.

With three ports in New Zealand cancelled because the ship has to have the hull cleaned is very frustrating! Four sea days with few activities planned is a bummer. Know this also happened to the Coral Princess. Why aren’t cruise lines being more active to avoid ruining a great vacation?
