  1. It's a 7 day Caribbean. Are the gratuities significantly more for YC? What about the dress code, is it more formal. Not looking for a super formal experience, if it is casual with perks I may do it. For 460 is says I have a strong chance for an Aurea with terrace and world pool.
  2. Well I thought my decisions were over.. but not yet.. not yet.. ugh. So I scored an aft cabin Bella experience. Now I just got an upgrade offer to upgrade YC. It looks like I have a good chance at YC interior for 345 PP or YC terrace for 460 PP. Ugh more decisions. It's more than I originally intended to spend on my cruise. decisions decisions. Also, we're more laid back relaxing type people would YC be too stuff for us?
  3. Hi, I did book the Bella experience. That's why I couldn't choose my cabin. I was hoping this was a good assignment.
  4. Hello, I just received my cabin assignment for my cruise. Because of the special I purchased I was not allowed to pick my cabin. I have been assigned cabin 12253 which is an aft cabin. I was hoping to get something more midship. Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with aft cabins on the Meraviglia and your thoughts.
  5. Hi All, My wife and I are going on our first cruise in 20 years in February. I have some questions about the ports we will be visiting. I don't necessarily think we want to do any excursions, but we would like to leave the ship and just walk around and check some things out. Are all of the ports below suitable to just walk around and maybe hit the beach or go for a swim? I know Ocean Kay is but not sure about the others. I also understand the risk of missing the ship when it leaves. I am not talking about going miles away but just walking around stretching our legs near the port. Thanks. Ports Nassau Bahamas Ocean Cay Cozumel Costa Maya
  6. NS is New Statendam. MSC Meraviglia. Both Western Carribbean. NS HAL: Hall Moon Cay Bahamas Georgetown Caymen Islands Falmouth Jamaica Nassau Bahamas MSC Meraviglia: Nassau Bahamas Ocean Cay Cozumel Costa Maya
  7. Doing a 7 day cruise on the Meraviglia from Port Canaveral. It says it arrives to debark at 7am. I'm flying in and out of MCO. What is the earliest flight out you would risk? I assume I would never make a 10:30 am flight? What about around noon?
  8. Hello, I have not cruised in 20 years. We are looking at a Western Caribbean cruise. We are in our 50's. We are trying to decide between HAL HIA NS ocean view cabin vs MSC drinks and wifi balcony. They both are about the same price. We appreciate good food and drinks, good entertainment but also like to have fun. We act younger than our age.
  9. I just discovered some threads on this in another area of this board lol.
  10. I am booking a cruise with MSC out of Port Canaveral. Per this forums advice I am going to arrive a day early and stay near the airport (MCO). My plan is to Uber to the hotel, does everyone just Uber the next morning from the hotel to Port Canaveral?
  11. Thanks for the info. Do you know if the MDR is open for breakfast and lunch?
  12. Hello, I am looking at booking a cruise on the Meraviglia. I have been looking a numerous reviews. I am getting a little nervous because of the issues with the bar and it seems like massive overcrowding in the buffet as well. I have a few questions. - Since the buffet seems quite crowded is the MDR available for breakfast and lunch? - Since it seems very difficult to get drinks, is it worth still getting the easy package? - Is the bar service problem just in the pool areas or pervasive throughout the ship?
  13. Hello, I am new to cruising. I am comparison shopping for a Caribbean cruise between MSC and other lines. It will depart from Florida. I know with the American based lines add gratuities to your final bill. I have heard different things about MSC. I have heard they are European based so they do not add on gratuities. Then I saw a youtube video where they said they add all of the gratuities to the bill like other lines. Which is it?
