  1. Once again an interesting collection of days. DH likes it when I go to the east coast as he knows I'll return w/saltwater taffy for him. I support turtles 🐒 picked this up on a cruise - proceeds ($4) went to the turtle fund (actual name was long - I just know it works on nesting safety, release and rehab of turtles). I would enjoy @dfish recipe #3 since it's w/o mushrooms, pass on the drink, yes to the wine, was in Quebec Oct 2022, but no pictures (they're on my computer and I'm on my phone). Hope everyone stays safe from/all the bad weather. This morning is PT eval and this afternoon is OT eval. The surgeon will not sign the papers until there is a date for the procedure and we're not there yet - still working on the frozen shoulder although he is very pleased w/the progress. He read the MRI report to confirm a couple tears in left knee & scheduled an appt in 2 weeks to discuss a treatment plan. So I'm sure PT is in my future for that.πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ Was 73Β° headed to 84Β° when I checked a few hours ago. Forecast says rain will roll in around 5; we have a flood watch again. Prayers πŸ™ and positive thoughts for all.
  2. I'm hoping that maybe one you're onboard you can make a stop by the dining kiosk to confirm your reservations ARE actually IN the PG. You should find the kiosk near the spa has a shorter line so you can get it sorted quickly.
  3. So happy to hear DH surgery went well. What a long day you had - I'm surprised by what I think of as major surgeries ending w/patient discharged same dayπŸ€·β€β™€οΈ But so relieved to hear all is well. I am now pre-med for all dental procedures, including cleanings, after getting hardware for a broken ankle, but luckily only 4 pills 1 hour prior. Prayers πŸ™ for continued recovery.
  4. I didn't even think of that - fingers crossed 🀞 I think that's what it is.
  5. These aren't the one I thought of, but maybe one of them will work for our precious Tana on her special day.
  6. This is concerning - we book PG dinners (and lunch) to eat IN the PG. Curious to know if this is also happening w/lunch reservations πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ Perhaps it's another recent change intended to increase revenue and was not "announced." This would possibly allow incremental PG sales by allowing dining companions to order separately; currently everyone who goes together in the PG is charged. Hmmm?
  7. YAY on Mavericks πŸ€ game 1 win; it was a nail biter and 4 berry game, but they landed on the right side of the score. Tomorrow night is game 1 for the 🌟 πŸ’ My nerves are struggling w/all these play-off games, lol. And I finished off the strawberriesπŸ“ tonight, so I have to get more to get me through about 14 games.
  8. We had a couple short-lived rain storms but thankfully no hail. It does sound worse under a metal roof - really freaks my dogs out. I hope you don't get much more bad weather - stay safe.
  9. It is served every day in GDC. This was my lunch one random day on K'dam This is from the Crow's Nest in Glacier Bay - no shortage that day (the people next to me each had 3 cups). Enjoy!!
  10. This is exactly why we prefer aft cabins, especially in places like AK. Another bonus is being more shielded from the wind.
  11. I have always had my PG dinners in the PG, never had them served in MDR whether part of HIA or not. Ugh if they have allowed a group to take over the PG.
  12. Congrats on the sales @marshhawkπŸ‘ Thanks @dfish for the beautiful flower 🌾pictures.
  13. Congrats on the ham score and eye exam πŸ‘ Even if the freezer is bulging, I find a way to fit really good meat deals - which that ham was. I hope it's tasty!!
  14. The sound is truly different coming from vinyl than digital.
  15. Yes, mine does that, too. I think I've only done that once (right after we got it). I really should convert a tape every so often🫣
  16. I have found them to be pretty firm on the time requirement. However, if you forward your emails to guest relations showing you had submitted the request on time, you may get them to do it. Typically, transfer requests are not handled by PCC, so maybe that's why they haven't prioritized it. Absolutely no excuse for lack of action, but may be a contributing factor. Also, be sure your original request was outside of final payment as they hold pretty firm on that too.
  17. Good to know they're open for embarkation lunch; now that MDR is closed, I'll go there instead πŸ˜‹ I have been known to go by GDC on the way dinner to grab a couple chocolate chip "dinner plates" for later as they stop serving them around 8pm.
  18. Yes, we use it every May & Sept when we cruise AK out of Seattle. I'll try to answer any questions.
  19. That may be what goes in a hole up top by the Frangelico or Kahluha or they'll pull in a bottle like they did the Gran Mariner. You'll get your Bailey's!!
  20. See, it's things like this that make you my hero... You providing these saves me a lot of time. Please accept a gold star or similarly appropriate reward recognition mcbob w/my sincere thanks!!πŸ†πŸ… or an extra bread pudding if that's preferred πŸͺ (this was the closest I could find, but you can still have the bread pudding instead of a cookie). Sincerely, thank you!
  21. I do! A combo dvd/vcr player 😊 Now don't ask when the last time we used it, but it is hooked up.
