  1. I believe it's the ALW version (no suprise) but obviously different staging than some recent productions.
  2. My guess is that the video poster was getting a tour of several rooms (possibly a TA or something like that), as they posted right about the same time with a royal loft video. Betting they put the snacks there as a display for the press/tour videos they knew would be taken and the poster simply didn't know any better. Or, this person booked the RLS and a sky loft and was (incorrectly) having their Genie service both rooms.
  3. I've never understood the difference - my understanding is they DO really offer it they just call it something else. Spectrum still had genies and everything, they just called it gold class or something like that instead.
  4. Genie is the big differentiator, really. Well worth it for that IMO especially if you got a decent deal on your current cabin. That said highly unlikely it will even actually be available if the rooms are currently sold.
  5. Best I've gotten for star class was last fall, 2 GLS and 1 RLS for 14 people total, $40k or 2857/pp, 408/pp/n Haven't seen anything but transatlantic/pacifics or super short sailings come close in pricing since. Similar stuff to what I mentioned above appears to be about double the price nowadays
  6. Agreed, I don't think the usual celebrity crowd will particularly enjoy the island when there's an oasis class full of families there as well. Wonder if this will continue to drive up the stupid prices for the activities/cabanas
  7. not offended, the way you phrased your question "But for someone who likes to plan it is nice to know waaaay ahead of time." it seemed like the information was needed for something. was curious what you might be planning
  8. I doubt even Royal knows what they are doing that far out. What difference does WHICH genie you have affect your plans in any way?
  9. If I am not mistaken it was not a single large message, it was hundreds of small groups. Going based on memory from the screenshots, not 100% sure.
  10. Perhaps this is no longer the case since I haven't used in-app messaging in years, but isn't there something like a 10-person limit on group chats?
  11. I really am not a huge fan of people asking incredibly easily googleable questions https://www.royalcaribbean.com/cruise-ships/harmony-of-the-seas/things-to-do/grease
  12. I would guess this probably depends less on how the currently planned one goes and more on how well it sold.
  13. There's an opener in the room, if not ask your stateroom attendant.
  14. I have seen extremely recent (1 month ago or so) posts from the star class FB group regarding the genies on spectrum. I would assume they have what you want in gold.
  15. looks like an IT issue showing cabin types that don't exist. Also worth noting that royalup showing has nothing to do with if a class is sold out or not, they take bids on fully sold out cabin types in case someone no shows or cancels.
  16. Why not just have your friends in the second bedroom then? Not in star, don't get the benefits. This is part of the reason genies are starting to loose their powers recently, more and more people trying to see how far they can push the limits to others in their group that aren't star class... If they do it for you, the next person with 6 in the room says "you've done it before, what's the difference?"
  17. Free is done when in port and they only go up and down not swinging out over the edge.
  18. I've never once had to do this when boarding any cruise ship in any port. I have not sailed from Southampton, however.
  19. You have to book asap if you want top suites, generally. Look at how much star class level availability icon left at the moment to have an idea.
  20. Not liquor, but probably wine or champagne. Same as if you bought a bottle in a restaurant.
  21. Icon also has UFS and royal loft which are both star class as well.
  22. Personally I don't think RCL suite benefits are worth it below star - they charge a LOT just to give some internet and CK basically.
