  1. How is the weather? They're going into their Fall season, correct? Temperatures cooling down a bit and not so blistering hot? How is the MedallionApp working? Do you mind my asking if you happened to purchase Princess Plus or Princess Premier? If either, could you talk about the "specialty desserts" offered? Are those at International Cafe? Or I've heard on some ships it's at the buffet, or at Swirls. The way it is advertised is getting some mixed reviews on the real experience of it.
  2. Here's what I just found on Princess..... Colombia Protocols This specific booking and/or voyage follows our COVID-19 Colombia Protocols for vaccination and testing requirements. Vaccination Requirements It is highly recommended that all guests be up to date on their vaccination status. Vaccinations, however, are not required. Testing Requirements Vaccinated guests: No testing is required for vaccinated guests. Unvaccinated guests: All unvaccinated guests ages 19 and older are required to take a medically observed COVID-test. Guests may take a Medically observed Antigen test taken within 48 hours or PCR test taken within 72 hours of embarkation. Please upload all required documentation to the MedallionClass app for a quick and seamless embarkation process. Global COVID-19 regulations and protocols are continuously changing and we may revise or modify these requirements (effective immediately) to evolve with the latest practices at any time. Please check back regularly for any updates. These protocols only apply to the specific booking number or voyage entered. As of December 2, 2022

  4. I don't get it....then why is it still on the Medallion app? And still coming up as an issue regarding "blue line" vs. "green line" for boarding/sailing readiness?

  6. Good morning Seaworthy71.....you definitely can go into your Cruise Personalizer to work on your health/wellness check. Here are the steps: 1. Log into your Cruise Personalizer on Princess.com 2. Click on My Account. 3. Click on Manage This Booking 3. Look for the link as circled in red in the screenshot below. 4. Once you click on it, it may give you a message: Unfortunately, there seems to be an issue with the service. Try again later. 5. Just click on continue and it will take you to the web version of the Medallion App....from there simply log-in using your regular Princess Cruise Personalizer username and password. 6. From there, scroll down and look for the table titled "Suggested" and click on Wellness Check. 7. From there, you should be able to access the Wellness Form and upload your vaccination card if you are vaccinated. Happy to help if you get stuck or need other help.
  7. Can't say I blame you one bit, Mr. Jeffregpuck!!! I wouldn't trust the customer service reps one bit. They talk a good talk but then when questions are pressed they quickly say, "I'll have to put you on hold...." and run to their supervisor with the answer changing upon their return to the line....that is IF they even come back to the line."
  8. Double check if you have answered the Health/Wellness questions properly. I believe mine turned gold when I answered one of the questions erroneously about being COVID symptomatic. When I changed my answer it went from gold to green. You're going to love Alaska with Princess. They make it very special. How many days will you be sailing so close to heaven?

  10. Well, aren't you a little dream!! That's good to know. I've never seen that offered before. It would be very interesting to see how they handle a deluge of feedback. Probably refer anyone to send an email to corporate...blah...blah...blah. I'll be looking forward to your feedback about the class if you'll share it with us.
  11. I wish Princess would offer a seminar on their medallion....and all this stuff like IP, and VPN, and the ever confusing LMNOP!! It would also be a good time for them to receive feedback from savvy medallion users who want to help Princess be the very best at sea!

  13. WOW!!! They can "print" them right there?? By "print" do you mean they can actually stamp our names on them? Or do those they have to "print" there at the port not include your name stamped on them like when they are mailed to us?
  14. We have never opted to pick them up at the port. Where exactly do we get it? Is there a special line? Or does the person helping to finalize registration have a work station where they go get them from? Thanks for sharing information on personal experiences with that.
  15. YIKES!!! He/She/They who hesitates is lost....and out of money! That's a hefty chunk of change--the going price of some cruises!!! I'm always watching the prices. We recently had our Mediterranean Adventure (aboard the Sun Princess) drop $400pp. We like those coins in our pockets.

I decided to play around on the medallion app and make dining reservations for the specialty restaurants for a future cruise other than the Panama Canal cruise which is causing all kinds of problems. Low and behold, nary one problem!! It recognized all the dining credits and grabbed each one without having to pay a penny!! WOW! So....must be something about certain cruises on the medallion app that have the problems.
  17. One Medallion....covers the B2B....and while it is the case that they have separate booking numbers, on the Medallion app, however, they will appear as if it were one sailing. Don't panic, you'll get the credit for two sailings. But who knows, Princess might charge you two shipping fees for the one medallion as they seem to be grabbing after money left and right, hand over fist. 🤑 Oops....did I just say my thoughts out loud again??

  19. But it's not about the voyage, correct?....it's about the bidding....the bidding cannot be submitted sooner than five days following the final payment due date. Is that what they are trying to say? It's very confusing as it is written....but maybe it's must me??
  20. We're on the Sun.....and we're getting it, too. They haven't finished building it yet....I'm guessing that might be the issue. But, it's evidence how much we want to sail!!!! Cruise on, folks! 🥰
  21. However, I must confess.....the verbiage of the third bullet point is throwing me off more than just a bit. To be eligible to submit a bid, "the voyage must be at least five days within final payment"??? If the final payment is due according to the number of days "before sailing sate" (sic-duh!!) as noted in their chart, and bidding opens 5 days after that, how is it possible that "the voyage must be at least five days within final payment"? Sorry of this has been noted and discussed earlier in the thread.....

  23. When I have ordered extra "goodies" with my Medallion they always charge right away. However, shipping was never part of the charge. I'm disappointed to hear Princess seems to be intentionally getting us to pay for perks and then just to have it get applied to OBC.

Do you suppose at their annual Board of Director's Meeting they report how much income they made from these kinds of charges where the passenger never gets the OBC or refund because something prevented them from the point of payment?? It just shouldn't be acceptable to say, "Go ahead and pay for something you've already paid for and we'll reimburse you the difference!!" Not what we should expect from a premier cruise line Princess claims to be.
