A laundry question: I see we get complimentary laundry service. Can anyone tell me the turn-around time for a "bundle"?

Considering the date, I am wondering if they followed through with that plan exactly. When I asked reservations they said had done them all and any cabins that were left were "not in inventory" - sounded odd. My cabin is in that list.

Does anyone know if ALL the bathrooms have been renovated? I have seen some videos that were supposedly taken after the reno and the tubs are still there. I am specifically interested in cat A4 9 deck. Thanks

Are you saying you have booked GTY (or booked higher cats due to WL)? If you have booked GTY, could you share the outcomes?

My OP was for pros/cons of booking a GTD - the assumption is that there is a GTD available. I had the choice - a GTD or a poor cabin on the same deck.

With one Cabin left, “availability” can change from minute to minute and revert to a GTD situation.

Absolutely. It's all in how you look at it. You get a guaranteed cabin at a cat rate that is not available (better than a waitlist) and a possible up grade into a higher cat. The underlying rate you pay is not discounted, but the upside could be substantial - as was the case with Felicia.

I am considering the 10/20/23 Riviera Departure. They are offering an A4 guarantee. I had decided to book A category and A3 is the only cat available - with 2 mediocre cabins left. To me, it seems like an A4 guarantee means the worst that can happen would be a A4 on same deck as an A3 and the upside is good (better cabin and/or better category). Do you agree? I have some questions on how a guarantee booking affects a reservation: Could you share your experiences of when cabins were assigned if you booked a guarantee reservation? Where you upgraded? Any difference on O-Life amenities? Can you book specialty restaurants without a cabin assignment? ( I assume your advance timing is based on your GTD cat.) If you don't like your cabin assignment, can you upgrade yourself (ie pay the difference between the GTD rate and the new cat) at that point? Are there any other downsides to a GTD booking that I should think about? Any input is appreciated.

I am looking for repeat cruisers who can review the differences they saw between O-class and R-class ships. I am specifically considering the Riviera vs the Nautica. I can dissect the deck plans etc. I am looking for someone to address the differences in feel, vibe and operation. Thanks for your help!
