This is not an answer to your question but a shout out of encouragement. May the Lord see you through this situation!!

Having a stateroom mid -ship should help. The center of the ship has more stability. Never had issues before this winter. Was on a smaller ship without stabilizers/ or non working ones, and in the front. Those cruises were the worse. We see sawed back and forth, then from side to side. Back to larger ships and mid -ship rooms for me. I also ate many green apples, sipped ginger ale, nibbled on dry toast, and ate dry rice and mashed potatoes.

Noticed 10-12 crew members celebrating a birthday in Chops on the Vision in Dec.

Was on a B2B on the Vision in Nov and Dec. On the 1st leg very few wore masks . We did most of time when out and about in close quarters. On the 2nd leg things changed. Was on the balcony one morning, looked to my right noticed the ship's captain and crew (about 20 feet from us) were wearing masks. Went into the hallway, noticed all room stewards were masked. Everywhere we went we saw all crew wearing masks. With that being the case we modified our slightly relaxed mask routine. At that point we noticed that more cruisers were mimicking crew behavior.
Do what you need to do for your peace of mind and health.

Getting off and on the ship as a B2Ber is not the same as getting on for 1st leg (if you wish to "remain on ship" so to speak). You are not with the masses but in a B2B group. I have had a seamless turn around where we walked to the gangway, dinged out, did a u-turn around the dingy, checked in a few feet away. Also have dinged out, entered terminal, sat for a few minutes , dinged back in. In Nov we stood for about 20 minutes before dinging back on. Also have had other variations. As said before, each turn around is different but nothing like getting on for first leg. There is also usually a luncheon for B2Bers- some great some not so good.

Ask special needs to replace the cooler in the cabin with a real fridge which should have a freezer section.
The freezer section is exceedingly small.

Just off b2b on Vision. Asked for it on the first day (room steward) and received it every day thereafter.

I do understand that each person has likes and dislikes when it comes to food. I'm find with either set of menus. The problem for me is the quality of the food. i. e.. I do not wish to eat a fatty, chewy, tasteless piece of meat.. I also do not consider a few slices of deli meat with gravy a turkey dinner.
Heat and eat sodium laden food is also not my cup of tea.. Fewer choices of good quality food would be the ideal for me. I'm probably asking for too much!!

Also received this email. Seems as if a test , regardless of vac stat, must be done if going to Columbia. That's not what is stated on Royal's site, nor does anyone at Royal know anything about this "emergency notification". Leaving home on Sat. for cruise on Wed. Confused!!

Not sure if changes have occurred, but was there 3 times in Nov. and Dec. Each time we had 2 loungers with our bed.
-
Just did beach beds 3 separate times in November and December. Two times were great and 1 time okay. The wind played a major factor in enjoyment. Yes, it was not as enjoyable as a cabana, but logistics can be worked out. Four towel clips were used to hold side curtains together, pillows were used to keep back curtains in place, and floating beds were placed on the sides to keep the pinned curtains from blowing. There was some sun coming in but not nearly as much without the rigging. All 3 times we were on the front row, once each to the right, left and middle (facing the water). The least desirable spot was the far left facing the water... you have less real estate/ personal space.

Haven't seen that brand on Royal.

We will be cruising the same time frame as you mentioned. In the past a few decorations appeared just after Thanksgiving and grew as time went on. Looking forward to meeting.

I've toured with Bernard 3 times, and never felt anxious about missing the ship. Loved every minute !!

Needed something light on stomach during last cruise (older small ship, rough sea, and stateroom location nearly in the bridge). Needed something light to eat. Ate plain jello without that "white stuff" on top. It was good. It was a mistake or I was too sick to notice the difference.
Aside from that DH had vanilla ice cream in a specialty restaurant, took 1 bite and said it horrible. Didn't have to worry about him gaining ice cream weight.
