Agree. And there are many worse places in the world than spending a few more hours in Piraeus. There are some nice spots there if one ventures away from the ferry port.

Agree it makes sense - curious as to how they manage crew who are infected? Isolation cabins? Presumably the same if someone is on a back to back cruise.

Mystery solved - should have read the email…. On Ascent’s most recent sailing, a small percentage of guests reported experiencing gastrointestinal illness. Out of an abundance of caution, we will be activating our enhanced sanitizing protocols before you board, both within the terminal and onboard the ship, to prevent any illness from affecting your cruise.

Ascent is delayed leaving Athens on Saturday? Any idea why? A deep clean? Or an engineering/tech issue? Or perhaps staff training?

Can you buy the package at any point during the cruise or is it day 1 only?

Thanks for the comments. The app shows the wine lists for the various restaurants. The wines are reasonably priced compared to restaurant prices.

Hi, I tried to search this but could not find anything solid so apologies for another beverage question. We are weighing up getting the premium beverage package - we like the freedom of a package but our plan is to to max out time on shore and do nice lunches out so a beverage package at 224 euro per day is quite a lot. We do like wine with dinner and are wondering if Celebrity have wine packages on board and any idea of the cost? If not what is the price of bottles of wine on board? We also know we can bring a few bottles of wine on board and can pay corkage. Many thanks.

How much is the upgrade from the signature to elite drinking package? Can this be done pre sailing or on board?

Hi, Does anyone know what are the prices for dining packages? Considering a cruise on the Edge - weighing upon cost of a more basic balcony cabin but buy the dining package. We did that before on Reflection and it was one of our best cruises. Many thanks.

Another alternative to getting the elite package is to buy a wine package on top of Have It All which means wines we like, and/or using a beverage card for off package purchases of water etc. On the latter, can unused credit be applied to the on board bill?

Hi, We will be sailing on NS in June which is our first time on HAL. Have cruised before on Azamara, Celebrity, Cunard, RC, Seabourn and Star Clippers. We are being offered the Have it All package with the signature beverage package as an extra for EUR45 a day each which seems to be a good deal. However, we like nicer wines and we tend to have a lot of non-alcoholic drinks (Perrier etc)/speciality coffees(usually 3 before lunch)/juices during the day so find the 15 drink limit challenging. We will probably use the speciality restaurants anyway with WI-FI (on sea days) and excursion credit a bonus. Can we upgrade from Have it All to the elite package? If so what is the cost and the process? Before or on board. Is it easy to do? Our alternative is to just get the Elite package (more expensive than ‘have it all’) and book our Speciality separately before getting on board. We got a good flash offer so happy to spend extra to enhance the experience - laundry etc. We value convenience and lack of worry on board.
