  1. They're more like the cartons that protein shakes come in - we've taken those on several cruises, as Carnival allows cartons, just not bottles (except wine). These are pretty interesting - being smaller than a regular wine bottle would make them much easier to pack as well as fitting them in the fridge in the cabin. And of course, they would be much lighter than a glass bottle of wine. I've never seen these before & I would be curious as to whether anyone has had any problems with the port staff recognizing them as an allowed bottle of wine.
This was the original reason for my op. I have never seen anything this size and I was wondering the same thing about them.

  2. I have always taken just a bottle of good champagne on my past cruises and just found these to be interesting. I know you can also purchase them in smaller containers as a 6 pack. I'm not sure that I would actually bring them and that is why I threw this out to cc people for opinions. Thank you all so much for the feedback. I have decided this is probably not the best way to go.

  3. I would call to be sure, but, I think they may allow it as wine, as long as you don't exceed the 750ml. In that case it is carry on only. 750ml per adult in cabin.
It is wine. 500ml per box. So much lighter than bottles... Takes up 1/2 the space but I'm wondering if because of how small they are they would go unnoticed in my checked bag

  4. I think the biggest problem is the op is flying out of JFK. If I were sailing out of Bayonne the flight should have been out of Newark. That being said, I think I would go to JFK drop my luggage and then take ground transportation back into Manhatten. I would go to the Metropolitan or Momo, eat lunch in the cafe, enjoy the art and then back to JFK. Just my idea of a lovely afternoon. If not into museums I would people watch at Bryant Park.. Maybe go to Lord and Taylor or Saks.

  5. Regarding parking. Parking is easy and very close to the ship. I have been on Majesty and it is a nice ship similar to Fantasy class on Carnival. Getting to the port at 12:00 won't be an issue. There are a lot less people to board and Royal does a great job. Yes, Majesty is older but for a weekend it is a perfect getaway. COCO CAY is beautiful if that is a stop....if there is a lot of wind they will bypass though. We have been to Nassau so many times that we stay on the ship. Enjoy your trip

  6. The beach is free. You can go to Jetty Park which is ok but Cocoa Beach just up the road is much nicer. There are lots of hotels up and down as well. A really great place on the beach is in Cocoa Beach is Coconuts. Fish lips is fine but it is most fun when ships are leaving port. FYI I live in the Orlando area. Another access point (besides the public beach) is at the Hilton on the beach. The beach bar is open and you can get to the beach from there. There is an indoor restaurant and a bar with food.

other than when it's time for packing clothes and gadgets, i cant think of anything else???

Fold up laundry bag. You can get them at the dollar store. They fold flat so you can put on the bottom of your suitcase. When not flattened it stands up. Use to keep laundry, shoes, stuff
