  1. My first cruise will be on the Koningsdam mid August, and so I've been researching this one ship extensively. The Culinary Arts Center is now the Club Orange exclusive dining area. In the recent daily schedules I've seen, no mention of Earth in Concert (or any string instruments actually). Most of the activities are, 1. pickle ball, 2. beginner classes (such as knitting or water color painting), 3. gambling (casino/bingo), 4. shopping, 5. EXC presentations (getting to know whatever ports you are headed to. For me, these are all going to be Alaska-related topics such as the Iditarod). I'm with ya. A lot of the things on the website and even the Cruise Critic official editor review are simply outdated and misleading.
  2. I'd like to see them simply bring back all the stuff they've been getting rid of. Four great examples: - Dedicated space for classical music - Culinary Arts Center with cooking-themed events - Earth in Concert - The more interactive event-type bar areas, such as Blend/Notes (maybe combine them into one, and have different interactive alcohol events throughout the cruise)
  3. I'm 30 and my wife is 27. We picked the Koningsdam for our first ever cruise, August 12th-17th. Definitely disappointed to see all the comments about a complete lack of classical music. This was a major selling point for us. Besides Lincoln Center Stage, they also don't do Earth in Concert anymore, which had a classical music element. These were two things were very much looking forward to. Everyone, take the time to email Holland America (guestrelations@hollandamerica.com) and let them know! I doubt they are coming here to take any serious tally on what people think. We can at the very least fill up their inbox with our concerns!
