Thanks, cr8tiv1 for suggestions on what to do in Kona, Kauai and San Pedro. After so many times staying in San Pedro before our cruises, I never knew about the Marine Mammal Care Center. Sounds like a wonderful place to spend a morning before getting on the ship. I'm thinking of an Uber to get there if we fly?

We were also on the B2B cruises and disembarked yesterday. I agree with all the positive comments about the lovely Majestic Princess. We ate in the MDR for all of our breakfasts, some lunches and all of our dinners, except for one evening where we had a wonderful Chinesew dinner in the Harmony. All of our meals were outstanding as well as the service. Our dinner wait staff (Alex and Adrian) were fantastic. All in all a perfect cruise. I wish we were still on her sailing to Australia!!

Have you personally used them before? I know a lot of people on the boards have mentioned this from what I did research over the years. I'm actually highly considering this especially since my hotel is on the list.
We have used the shuttle service in Seattle several times. Very reliable.

Hi back. We are on Ruby this spring with one cruise out of LA.
Panama Canal or Pacific Coastal?

On a number of ships we have been on, that would be an oxymoron statement.
Hi Tina,
You should have been on our Hawaii cruise on the Emerald (July 6 - 22). LOTS of kids and teens. No supervision by their parents. Yikes!! Sure would like to see you and Ken sometime on a cruise!! We mostly sail out of LA.

Looking forward to hearing how the car rental goes in each port. It is an oft asked question here.
They always seemed to be in that "Alaska in Summer, Mexico in Winter" mode. Now they are going to Hawaii and doing California Coast itineraries, which is great.
My daughter has reservations in all 4 ports for a car. The trouble is that she and my DH will have to get to the car rental place to pick it up and then later to drop it off.

LA Cruiser 88, We are also on this Hawaii cruise along with several friends. Plus, my daughter and a girlfriend will be sailing with us. We are planning on renting a car with them in each port and just driving around to see the islands. We were just on this itinerary in January, but are celebrating birthdays in July, so are going again. Hoping to meet you, maybe at the meet & greet. Meredith and Bob

We will be celebrating my husband's and my daughter's birthdays on an upcoming cruise on the Emerald. We thought it would be nice to go to the Chef's Table for dinner one night. How much is it these days? What is the best way to get invited?
-
Another option would be to fly into Bellingham, WA. Cheaper (at least from Las Vegas) and easier to shuttle to Vancouver.

Your Indian dinner looks delicious!!

Coral, your whale pictures are outstanding!! DH and I go whale watching any chance we get, including the one time we were in Icy Straight. You don't see bubble feeding very often. We also went on a bear watch tour and saw one bear. Actually, my husband spotted it and pointed it out to the rest of us. We enjoyed our day in Icy Straight.

we either go back before the tours come back or sit at Pioneer Inn outside restaurant and have those beers. We have been on the last tender many times.
Gloria, I'm making notes about all the best places to get some shave ice!!

Bring back the milestone recognition program. Such a shame that those reaching 1000 days aren't invited to Sabatini's for breakfast on the cruise where their milestone is reached.

We were invited last minute (actually at breakfast in the MDR same day). We were in a regular balcony (on the Discovery) on the April 8th sailing. I think they had a cancellation and they extended the invitation to us. We loved it!! It is very special. We didn't know the details, but now it is fun to look at the pictures and read all about it.

I don't know, but I'll try to ask him tomorrow at the MTG Luncheon. They usually only do 2 month contracts and he has been onboard our entire voyage.
If you happen to run into Miguel Rocha (Hotel General Manager), please tell him Bob and Meredith say "hi".

DuVaul Gamble is currently shown as Entertainment Director of Discovery Princess, looks like a well deserved promotion. Don't see a spot for cruise director, but DuVaul is still acting as a cruise director.
I wonder who will take his place as CD. We will be on the coming up cruise.
