  1. Going to Cozumel with Norwegian. Cozumel sounds great. Please offer your opinion on what we should do?

My boss (and others) have said there is tons to do at Chankanaab and they had a great time. I am open to that.

I wanted to do the speed boat excursion with NCL, but it is sold out.

I am looking at the catamaran to Passion Island with NCL, looks fun and relaxing, but I was hoping to do some snorkeling and i heard none was available there, none that good anyway.

What about Paradise beach? I heard it is very touristy. Thoughts?

Please offer other suggestions. Thank you!!!!

  2. I would say these places have a little bit of everything, whether you are a kid or not. The kids love the animals at both places, but yet so do adults. :)

I honestly have to say that I didn't notice very many kids at either but if I had to chose which had less, I would say it was Little French Key.

They are both real laid back relaxing places and not the "party" scene or anything. The big advantage to Maya Key is the snorkeling there if you like that.

Yeah, I think we are going to Maya it. Looking forward to it! I hear we must do it via the cruise line. Is that true no outside tours? Seems like a weird thing to HAVE to do it via cruise line....

  3. I second the recommendation for Maya Key- we are looking forward to our third visit this year- the kids keep picking Western Caribbean itineraries just for this place- the snorkeling is excellent and very easy to do from the pier (my kids were 6 and 4 on the first visit and could do it easily).

Maybe I should clarify that we are two adults with no kids.

  4. My favorite places there so far were Little French Key and Maya Key. I have complete reviews in my signature line if you are interested. There are tons of pictures. :)

Hey Mits, thanks for this. I have been reviewing it. Can you tell me if you think these places are more family and kid oriented?

  5. Hi all, going to Roatan with the Pearl in a few weeks. What are some good things to do here without the cruise line? Even with the cruise line if you have a can't miss? What about something a bit off the beaten path??

  6. Once you are booked, how do you organize what you are going to do in each port? I am struggling to decide what to do! In belize, I have narrowed it down to a excursion through the jungle with NCL. The other locations, I am still deciding.

    Honduras

    Cozumel and

    Key West.

    Any thoughts?

  8. So I've been looking around online for TA websites to price out the Studio Cabins on a European cruise aboard the Epic and everything I've checked doesn't even give you the studio option if you put "1" traveler in. I checked the big box ones like Expedia and a couple others. My question is, do TAs not offer the studios? Can they not book them?

    Thanks in advance!

Maybe there aren't any left for the sailing. Try calling norwegian and seeing if there are any left. If you tell expedia that norwegian said they had some, they will try and get it for you.

  9. Hi sorry I wasn't being funny. And no it is none of my concern, I was just wondering if people would really do this. We usually eat .go watch a show then perhaps call at the buffet later for a cake and coffee. Without having to book a table in a specialty restaurant to have a dessert.

If I was a guest, I would try to eat a small dinner in one, then try a appetizer and desert in another. I wouldn't prioritize this, but I would certainly consider.

  10. Hi all - this will be our first cruise. We booked the Norwegian Cruise Line Pearl in June. It starts in Seattle and ends there. I have a couple of questions for those that have done one. My wife may not have a passport in time - there is one stop in Canada along the way. I have read some that say yes she needs it and others that say no she doesn't. What should we expect?

Also, the cruise leave at 4 pm on a Sunday - we are flying into Seattle on Saturday. What do you suggest we do - get a hotel near the ships or get one somewhere else? It would be good to get a hotel with free shuttles to and from the airport/ship. I have never been to Seattle and have no clue.

We booked a mini suite on the starboard side - there will be 3 adults in the the room. Sound ok?

I used to live in Seattle. I promise you the monorail is not for "sightseeing" If you want to hang around the downtown area you can go to the Pikes Place Market, the waterfront is alright for eating and also the space needle for great views of the city and mount Rainer. You can also catch a Mariners game. In that amount of time, that is about all you can do.

  11. Sailing on the Sky Feb. 24 and don't see much information about it. I have read most of the reviews and scoured the threads in there. Wondering if anyone has any information or personal experience with the Sky, other than the NCL website. We purchased the UDP and figure we will do appetizers early and then do a late dinner and get our $ worth out of it. Any recommendations on "secret" quiet spots or things most people don't know about, etc? Anything is appreciated. :)

The sky is great! I went twice last year and I plan for at least 1 this year. You will have a great time. Enjoy the windjammer at the front of the ship. A great bar and a great view.

  12. I have read a few threads on here were people have said you can eat in 3 of the speciality restaurants on an evening would people really do this?

if so would this not create more work for staff having to keep resetting tables and washing more pots ie cutley and glasses that are already set on table. Plus for other guest having to wait while someone pops in for a dessert.

If people want to eat at multiple restaurants on the same night, not only is it their right to do so, it is none of your concern.

  13. Yes, I am. I hardly use the site though. One day I kept trying to log in and it just kept deleting my user name and password. I always book PCC and I do my online check in. Other than that, I get my info elsewhere.
