H10 Catalunya Plaza has an elevator...We've stayed there several times now...and LOVE IT.  We've also stayed at the 1898, at thr Continental--also both near the Placa and both also have elevators.  We've also stayed in other areas--the Hilton in the Financial district and the Gran Havana on Corts Catalans... and ALL have elevators.  I think most higher end hotels in Barcelona have elevators.  I'd queston any 1 or 2 star, B&B, Pension or Hostel...SOME might be walk-up, but any good hotel will have an elevator.

Hi @Bruin Steve - say more good things about H10 Catalunya!!  We booked it based on comments I saw a year ago, and now we're just 3 SHORT weeks from our trip so I'm eager to hear good things as I race through the house, randomly moving piles of clothing into the sort/stay/take/pack/think about stacks!!

Celebrity still has a better suite experience when you factor in the Retreat.  We still enjoy the Suites on Princess.  Just reset your expectations and give Princess a try.  The price point for a Princess suite is much less than Celebrity.  On Celebrity we stay in the Royal Suite or higher.  Princess we will sail in full suite or Mini Suite.

    Cheers

The new 'Signature Suite' amenities on the Sun Princess include a private sun area, a concierge lounge, and a private restaurant.  Maybe Princess is trying to match the amenities offered by other cruise lines?

Interesting… I see the footnote you’re referring to regarding the wifi. But this is how it shows up on the app. The discount is there pre cruise.

Curious!  As soon as we pick up the extra WI-FI I'll screenshot my app and see if I have the same!

Not if you're platinum or elite.  The 50% discount should be reflected at the time of purchase as long as the app has your status level correct.

Hi @pompeii (love the sunflower, BTW!).

I took this information directly from the Princess site, selecting the footnote 12 link on the Elite benefit of 10% off shore excursions:

    https://www.princess.com/downloads/pdf/cc/captains-circle-loyalty-benefits.pdf

I see the same language for the wifi (footnote #7), so I'd think that once you board you'd see those discounts?

Bought wifi package for upcoming cruise. Shows as paid full price in "onboard services". As elite we should be getting it for 50% discounted rate. Will this be automatically adjusted or do we have to get it adjusted onboard?

I just booked some excursions pre-cruise and was surprised to see we were charged full price, without he 10% Elite discount.  Then I read that the 10% will be deducted when we board.   IDK if the pre-cruise WIFI works the same?

  6. Hi @J13C85, we were on the Regal last January and I was SO impressed with the Concierge Lounge and their ability/goal to solve all of our issues.  We were a party of 12 with no pre-reserved dining table/time.  The lounge concierge, Georgia, took care of the booking, and less than an hour later we had a reserved table for 12 waiting for us in the dining room, booked at the same time every night.  We had a couple more requests that she seemed to resolve effortlessly, and she encouraged us to bring all of our questions/issues directly to her rather than guest services.  She was BRILLIANT!

Not sure about the upgrade to premier over plus...  Seems I read somewhere on the site - maybe check the chat feature?

Best of luck and have a great cruise!!

They are going to remodel her back to pre-added aft cabins (sarcasm aka Sheldon Cooper).  One can only wish.  At least maybe an International Cafe?

Oh CreativeOne, they'd better NOT because we've booked an aft cabin for the 2025WC 😉

So sad to hear that she actually does have sailings in June '24, because I was really hoping for some kind of refurbishment before we board...

If you stay in a hotel at or very near the Placa Catalunya, a good way to get there from the airport (or return) is to use the Aerobus...

Cheap easy bus that picks up right at the terminal and drops off right on the Placa Catalunya...

6,75 € per person one-way or 11,65 € pp for a round trip ticket.  Frequent buses.  We took it both ways last time.  Pre-purchased tickets on the internet.  For our hotel, we only had to roll our suitcases across the plaza.  The "stop" is right in front of northern end of the El Corte Ingles department store.

Hi Steve - That link isn't working for me (probably something I'm doing wrong) - thanks so much for the info on the bus because I just booked a pre-cruise stay at the H10 Catalunya Plaza for our Sun Princess cruise next February!  Wondering if the link is working for anyone else?
