  1. The food on your cruising looks quite a bit better than american msc cruises!
  2. Perche? is there a parking area that's cheap near the ferry?
  3. well, does that mean the individual will be waiting 6 hours in the terminal??
  4. Does anyone have pics of the daily schedules? of the Meraviglia for the 7 day bahamas cruise? i'm curious about when the Broadway and Carousel shows are. i have an unlimited dining package and a child who needs to eat at specific times for medical purposes, so i need to reserve the dining in such a way as to be able to get to the shows before the doors open to ensure we can sit near or at the front.
  5. I think I may have been misunderstood. I was asking about the vendor owned aspect... How did you find out that the specialty dining was outsourced rather than the cruise just forbidding outside alcohol to make you buy alcohol in the restaurant at inflated prices?
  6. is Specialty dining like Hola Tacos (depending on the ship) open during embarkation? can you use your specialty dining there?
  7. true. but then i'd have to suffer the lines and the middling food the other 6 nights. as stated in my OP, we are only eating MDR once (potentially) for lobster. otherwise we want to stay on our unlimited plan. thanks!
  8. blast these inflation cost cutting measures. All I want is a bunch of lobster. okay. well, it's looking more and more likely that i'll just skip the MDR all together and eat butchers cut (i think you can go there twice on a 7 night cruise right?), ocean cay, teppanyaki, and mexican for lunch and dinner using an unlimited pass. I also found out that you cannot bring cruise purchased wine into specialty dining. what a crock. I guess I'll have to get a bottle of the cheap merlot in the steakhouse and cheap sauv blanc for the seafood house. Then nurse these bottles over 7 nights. sigh. getting ripped of by 300% is my vibe I guess.
  9. Hello, we are mulling over the unlimited specialty dining package and the only dinner we will likely have in the MDR would be the lobster night meal. I am wondering how many lobsters you can have? I don't need the extra filet, which i fully expect to be full of gristle. I just want extra lobster. It looks like there is a $5 surcharge for each extra entree. What if I don't want an extra entree, but just another lobster, no sides and no steaks? Any info would be helpful. If I have to pay extra for lobster, might be better just to go to a specialty restaurant. Thanks!
  10. Although the steward may think somethings up when he see shampoo bottles or rum runners in the ice bucket.... i wonder if my friend ever considered putting diet sprite in his rum runners. better ask him. =P
  11. The room stewards are always nice enough to supply wine glasses on any cruise... "some" people like to drink water out of wine glasses after all.
  12. but remember... a cruise ship is not home... It's more like brining a glass of wine from your room to a resort restaurant.
  13. no... but i'd have to ask my friend if he did it. I recall he did do it on carnival once and they didn't have problems.
  14. Can you bring a glass of wine into specialty restaurants and mdr from your state room? A friend wants to use the wine flasks and try his luck at sneaking some wine aboard the shhip as the quality of the wine on the ship is extremely poor for the outrageous cost. 250-400% upcharge! This way he can bring some quality wine with him instead of the sour grape 32 dollar house merlot.
  15. yes. already did so. the roll call is tiny for aug 19th because it's going to canada. the prices for the cruise are still low and it's not sold out yet. canada isn't a very desired location. but it is for us because we don't want any more heat after living on the sun this whole summer!
  16. what does that have to do with venezia though? it cruises from nyc? it's also been around since 2019 on carnivals sister brand. is it still considered new? can you give me a reference for where it says that faster to the fun isn't available for the first 6-9 months? and if that really is the case, why would they not offer it the first 6-9 months? I'd appreciate it.
  17. So I just called carnival and they said that the above was not true. they said that all ships have it. where did you get the 6-9 month info?
  18. Hi folks. It looks like Faster to the Fun is sold out on Venezia Aug 19th sailing. Do some become available closer in? Is there some sort of thread I can follow that shows when any become available?
  19. Hi! i'm looking for Faster to the Fun because I have two small kids and don't want to spend an hour in line. Do you guys know if any more will come available before the cruise?
