  1. Awesome, thank you so much! I'm looking forward to taking some time to explore the whole ship and find my personal favorites. 🙂
  2. Makes sense. I will say, I have zero intentions of working long enough at a single stretch to kill my battery though! 🤣
  3. Hi all. Yes, I know the point of a cruise is to relax, but sometimes doing a little work here and there is unavoidable. While I'm not planning to spend a lot of time on the laptop, I was wondering if anyone has favorite, quiet places on Regal where you settle in to work. My suspicion is that my cabin would be the best place, but would love any other ideas. Thanks much!
  4. And YOU made MY night!! I'm so happy I got to pay this little moment forward. Happy cruising!
  5. I have the Plus package fare, so shipping has been included the whole time. It just physically wouldn't let me do it, likely due to the bugs they experienced with the app update.
  6. If, like me, anyone in the U.S. or Puerto Rico has been trying fruitlessly for weeks to get their Medallions shipped to their home, try it one more time. I saw on Facebook someone was finally successful so I gave it one more shot. And..IT WORKED!! Finally Green Lane, baby! 🙂
  7. Thanks for y'alls recommendations. I've heard your caveats and booked a hotel near IAH (about 3.5 hours from home) the day before the cruise. Then I'll do the last hour embarkation morning.
  8. True. The ideal would have been to stay in Galveston somewhere with a park & cruise rate, but that particular weekend is already pretty booked up and what's free is more than I want to pay. So yeah, I'm leaning towards stopping in or a little south of Houston Saturday night and doing exactly what you suggest. Thanks for the feedback!
  9. Hi all! I'm planning to drive from Dallas down to Galveston for my November cruise. Part of me wants to just drive it straight through the day of embarkation. But the more logical/paranoid part thinks it's better to drive down the previous afternoon. Hotels with cruise parking in Galveston are crazy expensive for the weekend I'm going, so I'm toying with the idea of finding some cheap but safe place to stay somewhere along I-45 an hour or two north of Galveston. I know it's a long shot, but does anyone have any suggestions? I don't care if it's Houston or some tiny town. Alternatively, have any of you made that drive who might calm my nerves a bit? If I drove down on embarkation day, it'd be a Sunday (which is immediately way better than a week day). I figure if I leave at 6:00 am-ish, I can take my time and be fine. I appreciate y'alls thoughts!
  10. Galveston is a minimum four and a half hour drive from Dallas. I can only assume it would cost an arm and a leg to hire a car for that. Southwest Airlines is your cheapest bet to fly from Dallas to Houston, then they'll still need to get to Galveston (another hour-ish) south. There are lots of shuttles for that.
