Wheelchairs have priority over almost everyone else. Priority boarding is: B2B in transits, weddings (may be first, never seen a wedding party board), wheelchairs and others needing assistance, BVE (which is no longer with us 😭), Elite, Platinum, then everyone else according to the time they checked in.

I've seen it in more than one port where the highlighted people board with their priority group and not earlier than most others like Elite, suite, etc.  This spreads out the crew who do the assisting/pushing wheelchair, so as many aren't needed if the wheelchairs/special assistance people board all at once.

This is our first time sailing with Princess, and we have booked an aft full suite.  I have been trying to get answers to a couple small questions, and cant seem to find them.

First, in the mini bar set up that is complimentary, can you trade for bourbon?  or specifically Jack Daniels?

I have never seen mini bottles of Jack Daniels or any type of bourbon in a mini bar setup.  You can only trade for the 4 types of alcohol that have been mentioned.  One way you can get Jack or any bourbon is to buy through Room service where the Jack Daniels (375 ml bottles) sells for around $26 and various bourbons are cheaper.

  3. I'm not having much luck getting Princess to transfer a Sky Princess cruise that I booked when it first opened. I need a little "ammo" that my TA or I can use. Would any of those who posted success in transferring an older cruise be willing to share any specifics? I don't want anyone to compromise their booking but Princess  is asking for proof that exceptions have been made. I just get the standard response someone posted earlier. I can provide an email to respond to me directly. Thanks.

  4. I think you mean Royal / Regal.

I'm curious too about Sky ... the website says sales open Dec 14 so deckplans have to be out by then.

You're correct. Obviously, too many Princess ships that start with R and too late in the afternoon for my brain to be firing on all pistons.

  5. Does anyone know if the new Sky Princess will be like the Royal and Ruby or will she resemble the Majestic Princess? I noticed that the Emerald Deck is different on the Majestic in that it has mini suites on that deck whereas the Royal/Ruby don't. I'm thinking of booking on the new ship but would like to know which layout she will have.

  6. Just off the Royal, Nov 5, 2017. Coffee card and Premier Beverage package DO NOT cover gelato at Gelato's any longer. We were disappointed but not surprised, and saved a few calories foe sure with not having the adult sundaes..

We also got off the Royal on 11/5 and we talked to the employee serving gelato and he said the ship accepted the coffee card. Also, the interactive screens around the ship when showing the gelato slide indicated that coffee cards could be used. So two sources indicated that Royal still allowed the use of the coffee card for gelato.

  7. can you do multiple courtesy holds? maybe this is a good way to lock up some cabins while you are deciding? or at least hold the pricing every 3 days. :) could do overlapping bookings while hoping for a price drop . maybe this isnt so bad after all.

so my next question is, when u do a mock booking is there a box for a courtesy hold?

When you do a booking online, on the payment page, there is a check box to hold the quote. Within minutes, you will receive an email with a "Booking Confirmation" that will confirm the details of your booking/hold. If you make no payments, the "booking" will expire in a few days.

  8. Have your parents talk to the matire de the first day when you get on the ship. Friends were in a full suite and were able to take their children who were not.

I've never seen it happen and I've sailed in a number of full suites with my daughters in an inside and they wouldn't let them into Sabbatinis for breakfast. As a married adult daughter, I wouldn't expect them to make your case a special exception. I'd not count on it and then be pleasantly surprised if the Maitre d' does allow it.

  9. The frosted shot glasses were given at the wine tasting, not with limoncello. They stopped including the frosted glasses with wine tasting about two years ago.

I remember a little differently. The frosted glasses were given when you bought any of the dining room "after dinner drink specials" including limoncello, as well as with the dessert wine at the wine tasting. That must be why we seem to have so many of that particular shot glass.

For inquiring minds, here are the four iterations of souvenir glasses that I have collected over the past few years. The oldest is on the left and the latest on the right. Don't know if there were earlier versions but I don't seem to have any or I didn't keep even one.

  11. Are the shot glasses with Limoncello included with AIBP?

    Just curious....

No, they're not. We sailed with friends who had the AIBP and we all ordered limoncello on Italian night. Ours arrived in the souvenir shot glasses and theirs arrived in a standard glass.

  12. My experience, both from US ports and International ports, mostly confirms all of the above. Suites board with Elites. First on are BtB cruisers, then Wedding and BVE (usually only at US ports). Since these are not announced publicly but by individuals going to the seating areas for these groups and ushering them onboard, they often are boarding at the same time or very close. Then come Elite and Suite, then Platinum and then the numbered groups with no priority. Boarding for Wheelchair, etc passengers seems to vary. Although many here say differently, I notice that often the handicap passengers board with their respective groups and not in front of everyone, regardless of their status. I wonder if this has to do with the number of people needing wheelchairs and the multitude of "family" members who "have" to board at the same time. Also, there aren't enough Princess employees to to wheel them all on board at once, so it would make more sense to "stagger" their boarding to coincide with their boarding group.
