On our Celebrity Reflection cruise in March 2014, we did not have to sign for drinks at any of the bars or in the dining room.

Our departure time was 6:00 PM with an all aboard time of 4:30 PM. I cannot remember the time of the muster drill. Yours will be listed in the daily “Currents”, the onboard information sheets that are placed in your cabin every day.

When we overnighted in Barcelona for the Riviera cruise to Lisbon, the muster drill was on the second day before departure.

Re: My Post #13
Oops my numbers were off. I used points to fly to Vancouver so Oceania gave me an air credit. I still saved some money but will have to have fewer martinis and bottles of wine!!!!

I booked our August 10th, 2014 Alaska cruise on February 13th 2013; included were pre-paid gratuities and $200 USD ship board credit. The price for an A2 cabin with all fees and taxes was $3,599 USD/person. The same cabin was available yesterday for $4,274 USD/person. The saving of $1,350 USD will be used for shore excursions, martinis and wine!!!! Booking early does have advantages.

Will she be on board in August for our Alaska cruise?

As Arlene has noted, a good CD is vital for an interesting session of trivia. We have sailed with Leslie Jon and David Shermet ; both have provided challenging afternoon sessions.

Our documents have always been sent to our TA who reviews them and calls to have us pick them up.

It will always be a red eye. We always arrive in Europe a day early.

Air Canada has non-stop flights from YVR to LHR. I would pay the Deviation fee for the direct flights. There are many one stop flights through Toronto or Montreal.

Our TA receives the documents, reviews them, then, gives us a call to pick them up and/or discuss in person.

Another vote for the Hotel Jazz. There is a great little restaurant nearby where all the locals have breakfast. A number of restaurants/cafes for tapas and sangria are within easy walking distance. In addition, a main stop for the HOHO buses is one block away.

The Pouilly Fuisse Chardonnay is an excellent wine for drinking before or with a meal.

When we sailed on Regatta from San Diego to Miami, we cleared immigration in Key West.

My TA found a great deal on Celebrity that I booked yesterday. I was on hold for over 25 minutes today for a question that could only be answered by a Celebrity staff member. It appears that all cruise lines are having a problem with phone support.

I believe you are on the Regatta. There is a very active Roll Call at this website:

We have used Oceania Air without transport to the ship on three occasions. In each case, we have had to look after getting our luggage from the airport to the ship.

On our 10 day port intensive cruise on Riviera, we dined twice in the GDR, once each in Polo, Jacques and Red Ginger; Toscana is not our favorite.. The rest were in Terrance where we enjoyed the grilled lobster, lamb chops and steaks.

We were in 9083, 8 cabins from 9103 on our Med cruise last year. No problems with vibrations or noise.

When we booked and paid the deposit on board, our TA had the booking before we got home.

I don’t know where you are getting you information on TAP air safety. According to the JACDEC Airliner Safety Report released in January 2011, TAP Portugal was rated Western Europe's safest airline and the world's fourth safest airline, only after Qantas, Finnair and Air New Zealand.[3]
Our daughter and granddaughter, both experienced travellers, flew from Barcelona to Lisbon and Lisbon to Heathrow on TAP in February. The aircraft were in great shape inside and out and the crew was very professional. While I haven’t flown with TAP, their aircraft looked good from the outside when I was in Lisbon airport in September 2013.
As I mentioned at post #37 of this thread, there are many flights from Toronto to Lisbon. Since your main concern appears to be flying on TAP, there are other options to fly with a different Star Alliance Partner. The Air Canada flight that leaves Toronto at 5:25 PM connects with a Lufthansa flight to Lisbon arriving at 11:20 AM.
I flew on Lufthansa from Frankfurt to Barcelona and Lisbon to Frankfurt in September. Their aircraft and crews are first class.

A quick check on the Air Canada website reveals that there are numerous flights from Toronto to Lisbon. The total duration varies from 11 hrs and 35 min via Heathrow, arriving at 10:55 AM; to 12 hrs 55 min via Frankfurt, arriving at 11:20 AM and 12hrs and 15 min via Munich arriving at 1:15 PM.
After you have decided the flights you want, have your TA propose the routing and times to Oceania. Oceania may accept this routing and only charge the deviation fee or may charge an additional fee based on any charges from Air Canada. You do not have to accept Oceania’s offer and do not pay anything until you have agreed to the routing and price.
We have used Oceania Air to Europe on 2 occasions and got the exact routing that we requested through our TA. By paying the deviation fee, we were able to arrive a day early and return 2 days after the cruise

Here is a quote from page 1 of our Cruise Vacation Guide (Blue Book) from our recently completed cruise on Riviera:
“Shorts, jeans, t-shirts, athletic footwear and sandals are not permitted in the Grand Dining Room, Jacques, Red Ginger, Polo Grill and Toscana”.

Yes, we did see the Marina on that episode of New Tricks, one our favourite tv shows. It brought back memories of our Riviera cruise last year.
